Initally Farhan Akthar wanted Don of all three generations to be part of the film.Amitabh Bachchan from original film in (1978).Shahrukh Khan from its remake in Don (2006) and Don 2 The chase Beings (2011).And Ranveer Singh as the new Don.But Shahrukh Khan decided not to be part of the film.Hence the idea was dropped.
