I usually stay amd keep watching especially if there are animals around, but this sucks big time. The unfolding of each scene is so slow. Like a sloth slow.
There's no chemistry among the whole cast. Sometimes i wonder how some movies. Can weave an enigmatic and coherent cast. Like the family members can really look like families in real life.
This doesnt have that. The little girl is charmingly pretty, many of the first scenes revolves about her.
I think that is what is mainly missing, this movie is about a dog that suffered abuse and his cameo was very limited. The story is about the people around the dog. Some directors can actually combine scenes about the dog AND the people. This is just sequence after sequence with no coherence.

Really enjoyed it! Great film great cast! Flskabak skdidb SJSU's Jan SJSU's Jan skakkak
I found this a really refreshing movie with believable, natural writing. Elegant, simple and centered on the simple act of caring for those around you. Obviously made by people who have been taught by dogs how to love.
Movie had opportunity to really drive home a message about illegal dog fighting, but simply uses it to build a weak, yawn-filled story line that never really delivers in any real way. The dog was used to tie together two or three sub plots. To be honest, the dog, a great example of a German Shepherd, should really have had more lines in this flick because the acting by the humans was simply horrendous and the writing pedestrian at best. It's not easy to make a good dog movie, Belong to Us is unfortunately not one of them.
