The Life of Chuck director Mike Flanagan opened up about Stephen Kings involvement during the production of his upcoming film adaptation of Kings 2020 short story of the same name. This marks Flanagans third Stephen King movie, after directing the 2017 psychological thriller Geralds Game and 2019s The Shining sequel, Doctor Sleep.

During a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Flanagan was asked about Kings behind-the-scenes involvement in The Life of Chuck movie. The Haunting of Hill House creator confirmed that he had a lot of conversations with King regarding "casting and other details" before the film went into production. However, during filming, King took a step back in order to give Flanagan the freedom to do what he wanted with the movie. "When we were doing The Life of Chuck, we talked a lot before production," Flanagan shared. "He has an enormous amount of approvals on things like casting and other details.

The 1986 drama film Stand By Me followed a group of four 12-year-old boys on a hike to find a missing boys dead body and featured a bittersweet ending that saw them go their separate ways. Stand By Me is considered one of the best coming-of-age films of its time, with a strong young cast that included Wil Wheaton, River Phoenix, Corey Feldman, and Jerry OConnell. Wheaton played narrator Gordon Gordie Lachance, a young boy who dreamed of being a writer and was grappling with the recent tragic death of his younger brother.

The older version of Gordie, played by Richard Dreyfuss, narrated Stand By Me as he wrote the story of his crazy hike with his friends. The movie was directed by Rob Reiner and is based on the Stephen King novella The Body. The movies title was changed to match the song that plays in the end credits, Ben E.

The creators of Evil promise to provide closure with the extra episodes they've been given for season 4. Actress Katja Herbers expressed interest in Netflix picking up the show, but the creators are not looking for a new home. While another season beyond Evil season 4 is possible, the Kings are currently focused on making the final season fulfilling.

“Evil” will end with its upcoming Season 4 at Paramount+.

The series was renewed for a fourth season back in June 2022, though it was not reported at the time that it would be the final season. New episodes of the series will debut in May, with Paramount+ also ordering four bonus episodes to supplement the season. Production will begin on the new episodes in New York City in the coming weeks.

Accessing and watching One Piece's English dub will soon be more accessible than ever.

Crunchyroll has confirmed that the dub will hit the streaming service on July 5 in the United States, Canada, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. Caffeine is making big moves in 2023. The five-year-old streaming platform is planning a pick-me-up for its content library in the form of an original content slate, which includes 14 new and upcoming programs from Caffeine’s most prominent partners.

While other streaming outlets focus predominantly on gaming, Caffeine offers a range of entertainment options across its directory of channels. In the coming year, those pop culture hubs will add new shows. The Ultimate Rap League, which has delivered six-digit live audiences on Caffeine, will launch two originals, including a new round of its battle-of-the-sexes contest. Kings vs. Queens is slated to return in March.

Other shows in the new Caffeine content slate will expand the platform’s offerings in categories like sports, comedy, and dance. Ballislife is one of several basketball channels on Caffeine, and it will add to its library with three shows, including a new round of the one-on-one tournament King of the Court.

Celebrated up-and-coming Colombian filmmaker Laura Mora has wrapped shooting on her third feature “Kings of the World,” backed by Cristina Gallego, producer-director of 2018 Cannes Directors’ Fortnight hit “Birds of Passage,” and Mirlanda Torres.

“Kings” is set up at Gallego’s Bogota-based Ciudad Lunar, the label behind Oscar-nominated “Embrace of the Serpent” and Torres’ La Selva Producciones. Netflix has signed an overall deal with writer and producer Michael Green.

The first project under that deal will be the animated series “Blue Eye Samurai,” which has been ordered to series at the streamer. Geeen co-created the series along with Amber Noizumi. They will serve as executive producers and co-showrunners on the show, which follows a mixed-race master of the sword who lives a life in disguise while seeking revenge in Edo-period Japan. Jane Wu will serve as supervising director and a producer. Erwin Stoff will also executive produce.

The voice cast for the series will include Maya Erskine, George Takei, Masi Oka, Randall Park, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, Brenda Song, and Darren Barnet.

Robert and Michelle King are attached to executive produce a series adaptation of the iHeart Media true crime podcast “Happy Face” currently in development at CBS All Access, Variety has learned.

“Happy Face” is inspired by the true story of Melissa Moore, who discovered at age 15 that her father, whom she loved dearly, was the prolific serial killer known as Happy Face. As an adult Melissa has changed her name, guarded her secret and cut off all ties to her father who is currently serving life in prison, but when he contacts her to take credit for more victims, Melissa is pulled into an extraordinary investigation into her father’s crimes, the impact they had on his victims’ families and ultimately into reckoning with her own identity.

Jennifer Cacicio will lead the writers room and serve as executive producer. Cacicio previously worked with the Kings on the upcoming Showtime limited series “Your Honor.

Grasshopper Film has secured the U.S. distribution rights to Iwow: I Walk on Water, a documentary feature from New York-based photographer and filmmaker Khalik Allah, to released in physical and virtual theaters later this year. Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray lead the cast of the 2004 modern adaption of Cinderella, called A Cinderella Story. The film took the classic characters and placed them into a contemporary world. Rather than a kingdom with Kings and Queens, it's a tale of high school jocks and nerds. Since then, several other modern adaptions have been made.

A Cinderella Story was beloved by fans. However, specific details have been called out for years by fans. Not everything in the film made sense, and some things stuck out more than others.

Robert and Michelle King and their company, King Size Productions, have signed with UTA for representation in all areas.

Signing the Kings is a major boon for UTA, which came to an agreement with the WGA around three weeks ago that allows the agency to represent writers once again.

King Size Productions, which is helmed by Liz Glotzer, is currently under a multi-year overall deal with CBS Television Studios. The Kings most recently created and serve as executive producers on the CBS supernatural drama “Evil” in addition to having created and serving as showrunners on the CBS All Access drama “The Good Fight.” “Evil” has been picked up for a second season at CBS while “The Good Fight” was recently renewed for a fifth.

“The Good Fight” was the first original scripted series to debut on CBS All Access and is a spinoff of the Kings successful CBS drama “The Good Wife.
