For Sci-fi, Thriller, Supernatural and mystery fans. This is a watch

For sci-fi, thriller and mystery fans, and especially fans of the supernatural, this is definitely a great web series with huge potential and an intriguing concept to it.

Each episode, we are introduced to new characters and their unbelievable stories. The show almost has an X-files feel to it, with the strange and mysterious radio station that allows people to openly tell their strange and unimaginable stories to... No one?

It is the type of anthology show where every episode gives you a new story, new characters and no relation to the previous events shown, but every episode gives more clues on the XKWX radio station that no one is listening to and a new attitude to the mysterious Radio Host. From him being over-the-top / sarcastic in pointing out that no is listening to his guest, to a high-standard host reminding them of radio broadcasting standards.

The more I watch the more I feel that the show is building up to something. The radio station that is mentioned in a book, a host that sees more then he let's on, and a need to ask certain questions. I don't want to spoil it, as it will take some of the "OH" factor away from watching the show and getting that feeling of suspense.

One of my favorite aspects, apart from my theory as to what the station and its Host represents, is the music and the sound. I think they are on just another level. Great original scores and amazing ambient sound. 10/10 for sound department.

Acting in the show is also on a high level, each actor brings something different and unique to every episode. My favorite would have to be the host played by Thomas Garner. He does a brilliant job of voice acting to express a variety of emotion without being seen. As well as Rory Dunn who played a brilliant character Peter Kirkmann. Probably my favorite episode so far.

Overall, this is a great show with each episode being original not only in story, but also in tempo, acting and even style, so remember to watch each one.

    A Great Surprise

I recently had the pleasure of viewing the horror web series "XKWX". Normally, I am not a fan of the horror genre, as many titles prove to Be formulaic and paint-by-the- numbers. Generally, they are filled with carbon copy characters of other horror movies, and encompass plot twists you can see coming a mile away. Thankful, that was not the case with "XWKX".

The characters were realistic, complex and fully formed. The writing was intelligent as the plot told a complete story and didn't rely on jump scares to push the script forward. The cinematography was incredible. The film was quite beautiful to watch and the lightening was top notch.

I would recommend this to horror, sci-fi, mystery and general film fans alike. With so much content it is rare to find something worthy of your time. This proved to be the exception.

A Hidden Gem on display for every one to enjoy

A Hidden Gem on display for every one to enjoy: When I stumbled on to this web series, I thought that it was going to be another one of those cheaply made web series that every one seems to be doing these days, I was wrong. Don't usually write reviews for shows, to many episodes to discuss and review and some may be good, while others may be bad. But XKWX is a great little web series. Each episode is different and unique, but still manages you to assume that they are still connected.

I have always been a fan of mystery and thrillers, and this is a great addition to those genres. Written and directed by Jim Bromley, who did a brilliant job of not only creating original and interesting stories, but also throwing all of the small details that makes the show so much more entertaining. It is one thing to have a great story, it is another to know how to execute it correctly, and Jim Bromley, certainly did that.

XKWX is a radio station that no one listens to, which gives the people the chance to tell their most unbelievable stories. It is up to the audience to think if the stories are true or not, but with every great story, there are those moments where you are captured by the story and no matter how the unbelievable the story is, some aspect of you thinks that this is all connected and that the universe that has been created is one that is similar to the Twilight Zone or X-files.

    Great writing and intriguing story

XKWX is a very unique and extremely well written web series, had the pleasure of watching one episode and got hooked and watched each of the first four episodes. As a writer myself, I then went back and re-watched it again.

For entertainment value, this is a great web series, as it demands to be watched more then once to see all of the clues to try and decipher what the show is about. It has a great cast and great directing touch, with every episode having a different feel to it.

Well done to all of the people involved in this, I would definitely recommend this. 8.5/10

This is XKWX. No one's listening... but you really should! NO SPOILERS!

At the onset, I must admit I have a slight aversion towards the term "web series". I have seen way too many incompetently shot and awfully directed atrocities trying to guise themselves as "art" in the name of a web series so I was a little skeptical when I decided to give XKWX a shot and boy am I glad that I did!

Written and directed by Jim Bromley, XKWX is a haunting, intelligent and mystical web series that invokes fond memories of the Twilight Zone and works of David Lynch in a good way. While those artistic influences have been put to good use here, XKWX remains original and gripping in it's own regard.

I binge watched the 4 episodes in one sitting because it was hard to stop. A mysterious radio station that apparently no one is listening to offers people an opportunity to share their stories. An unseen host (referred to as The Engineer and brilliantly portrayed by Thomas Garner) ensures that the tale tellers adhere to the "high broadcast standards".

Each episode centers on a new guest with a new story to tell. Their stories range from creepy, unsettling, mystifying to gory but are always immensely gripping and therein lies the greatest strength of this web series. It's been written well and directed brilliantly.

The acting in all episodes is top notch. Even with a bizarre concept like this and moments that are far fetched from reality, the acting remains grounded and real.

The XKWX studio portions have been shot so well that you will almost mistake it for a big budget Hollywood production. Unfortunately, the same cinematic quality does not carry itself to all the flashback portions (which are in no way poorly shot). It might be a creative decision and it is a minor gripe at the best but it does make for a slightly jarring viewing experience when the mood and tone shifts from the studio portions to the flashback portions.

There has been some excellent use of lighting, sound, makeup and props in this series. There have been shots which a lesser or lazier filmmaker could have easily compromised on but here they have been dealt with respect, passion and uncompromising creativity.

I would strongly recommend everyone to watch this series. It's free to watch, each episode is only 5-7 minutes long and I guarantee it will stay with you long after its over. I'm glad I gave it a shot and I'm eagerly waiting for the new episodes.

    Keep broadcasting XKWX, I'm listening!
