Set in two villages near Mathura where at least 80% of households are without any access to a lavatory, the movie begins with the marriage of Keshav and Jaya. Conflict comes knocking on the first day of their marital life, when Jaya leaves Keshav for good, after discovering that there is no toilet. Distraught and desperate, Keshav sets out on mission to win back his love by battling against the age old traditions, mind set and value system of his country.

Goofs
Akshay Kumar's character breaks what is supposed to be an iron rod like a wooden stick after he gets hold of it from a man who is trying to demolish his toilet with it.

It is a must watch film.

Toilet ek prem katha- The best movie of 2017 on social issue. Akshay kumar was fantastic, his acting was powerful. Bhumi pednekar is best with her acting and also best suit in this role hope her best from her incoming films. Only the songs makes the film a little bit bore. Otherwise the film is best and watchable.
