Following a roaring debut at Sundance earlier this year, Neon has released the official trailer for Together, revealing a first look at the upcoming body horror film starring Dave Franco and Alison Brie.

While plot details remain scarce, the synopsis reads, "Years into their relationship, Tim and Millie find themselves at a crossroads as they move to the country, abandoning all that is familiar in their lives except each other. With tensions already flaring, a nightmarish encounter with a mysterious, unnatural force threatens to corrupt their lives, their love, and their flesh."

Exclusive: The WNBA is getting its first ever scripted TV series. Peacock is developing a series titled The W.

The series, set in the world of professional women’s basketball, which is having a moment with stars such as Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, comes from two-time WNBA All-Star Chiney Ogwumike and Glow creators Carly Mensch and Liz Flahive.

The half-hour project follows a hot-shot rookie WNBA player and her inexperienced agent navigating the wild ups and downs of the world of women’s professional basketball. It is loosely inspired by Ogwumike and her longtime business partner and agent, Allison Galer, who chose an unconventional path after Ogwumike, who was the first pick in the 2014, chose the 24-year old as her rep. Exclusive: The series adaptation of Raven Kennedy’s fantasy novels is picking up steam with Kate Rorick attached to serve as showrunner of the project.

Deadline revealed at the end of 2022 that Peter Guber’s Mandalay Television was developing an adaptation of Kennedy’s Plated Prisoner series, which includes five books: Gild, Glint, Gleam, Glow, and Gold.

Rorick has previously served as showrunner of Leverage: Redemption, the Freevee revival of the TNT action crime series. She has also written on series including TNT’s The Librarians and Freeform’s Marvel series Cloak & Dagger.

Mandalay Television will begin taking out the project to market over the next couple of months.

Toward the end of his 2023 HBO comedy special From Bleak to Dark, Marc Maron tells the audience a high-wire joke he’s been working on since his partner, the director Lynn Shelton, died in 2020 from a rare blood disease.

It starts with Maron on the way to the hospital to say goodbye to Shelton after a doctor arranges for the comedian to see her body. When Maron gets there, he takes his time saying goodbye. As he’s walking out of the ICU, he stops to consider a thought: “Selfie?” he asks himself. “No,” he finally decides. Most of the audience laughs immediately, but a few gasp before succumbing to their chuckles. It’s the kind of blunt and slightly scandalous humor Maron has built his career on, but it’s also textured with something rare for the comedian: a tender emotional awareness.

Marc Maron has a new stand-up comedy special coming to HBO later this year.

The special, which Variety hears consists of material from his “All In” tour, will be filmed in New York City in May.

The comedy hour will be Maron’s sixth stand-up special and comes two years after his latest for HBO, “From Bleak to Dark,” in which Maron discussed the death of his partner, Lynn Shelton, who died of cancer during the pandemic.

Film Independent handed out its 2025 Spirit Awards on Saturday afternoon (February 22), in a Santa Monica ceremony that saw Anora claim three prizes for best feature, director Sean Baker, and lead actor Mikey Madison in the gender-neutral category.

Agatha All Along's Sasheer Zamata will play Suzie, Double Exposure actor Christian Vunipola will play Hussein, and Eternals stunt performer and The Brothers Sun actor Jon Xue Zhang will play Ram-Man.

Suzie and Hussein are most likely characters created for the movie (there's a good chance they will be friends of Adam on Earth), but Ram-Man should be very familiar to fans of the classic animated series and action figure line.

MultiCon is putting the final touches on its schedule, which will benefit recovery from the Los Angeles wildfires when it rolls into the Preserve LA on Saturday.

The panels (listed in full below), include a conversation with Kevin Smith, Rob Liefeld and Robert Kirkman, while newly announced guests include All That and Good Burger star Kel Mitchell and Vivien Lyra Blair, known for playing the young Leia in Obi-Wan Kenobi.

They join guests that include David Dastmalchian, Seth Green, Sean Gunn and others.

Liefeld will also sign art from his property Young Blood that will only be available at the convention. As with other signings and photo opportunities with MultiCon talent, the proceeds will benefit United Way of Greater Los Angeles. Production is now underway on the live-action Masters of the Universe movie in London, and the first set photos have been shared online.

We recently got a first look at star Nicholas Galitzine in the process of training to take on the lead role of He-Man, and we now have our first look at the actor filming scenes as Prince Adam.

As you can see, Galitzine is sporting that unmistakable He-Man-style hairdo, as well as Adam's signature pink attire. The photos also reveal a first look at the hero's Power Sword... which appears to have been confiscated by the police.

Yes, these snaps also confirm those recent plot rumors that the movie will be partially set on Earth before Adam (presumably) returns to Eternia.

Though official story details have not been disclosed, it seems clear that this adaptation is going to make a pretty major change to the established lore surrounding Prince Adam/He-Man.

In the world of television, whether that's network TV or streaming, there's constantly renewals and cancellations. It can be hard when we have to say goodbye to a show we love, but that's just the reality of it sometimes. However, what really hurts is when you get the news that a series has been renewed, and then that decision is reversed.

Taylor Kitsch and Peter Berg are reuniting for their fifth project, with Betty Gilpin also along for the ride, in American Primeval.
