This movie deals with relevant situations and the dangers of teen runaways in a very real way. Great acting, a quality production and the way to redemption from a life of sorrow make this a great movie for teens.
You need to know what your getting into with this movie. I like it. It's a faith film... so if you want to see stuff blow up.... watch something else. If you want to reflect on how good God is to us, this is for you.
Love this movie! It has a gently delivered message of forgiveness & redemption as it carefully deals with difficult subject matter. The script is believable & the actors deliver natural performances that ring truth! This is Christian movie that isn't preachy and should appeal to a broad range of people, religious or not!
Was very curious about the storyline. So I thought I will give this film a go. So Dawn has to live with her aunt after her mother is murdered, but due to circumstances she has to leave and fend for herself.
So a lot of this film has a basis of religion attached which unfortunately spoils it for me. I am guessing that this is the message that the director was hoping for but however a lot of the film is lost in translation.
A majority of the film kind of submits to the audience that even living under the roof of god should be safe, Dawn finds that this is not the case, and later into the story she kinda has it forced down her throat that God can save her. Hmmm not sure whats right there.
Anyway it is all a bit blunt, no follow up about her mother's murder, the pastor is has happy at the start of the film and later on thanks to God, but I give the film 5/10, because there is some good acting, semi good storyline, just loses itself with the overboard no so believable religious theme.

When someone writes: "At some point there's barely something truly going on other than religious nonsense. I wasted my time and came to prevent others to do the same", you can understand that it's an idiot, so better you don't listen to them, follow your instinct and watch this movie.
This movie has some important teachings that can help to understand something in the real life.
Those who write that this movie is garbage have no heart, so following them will take you in the same world... darkness, emptiness, sorrow, misery.
For them, judging and criticizing is their hobby and they do that because they are empty, unsatisfied people who enjoy when something bad would happen to the others. Really bad people, but maybe just not clever enough to understand.
This movie is well done, good acting, directing and well written, the pace is right, it can't go quick, you have to follow and be patient.
It's a movie that will make you thinking about something, or maybe not, it depends on your level of awareness.
Probably it's not a movie for everyone, I don't know.
The subject is about a topic concerning the real world, that sometimes we don't know or we're more comfortable to ignore. It's reality even if this movie don't talk about true events.
Highly recommended!
The score is too low, so I gave it a couple of stars more, sorry.
