Inspiration for this film was During Derek's Acting for Camera class taught by Famous Zombie Genre actor Scott H. Reiniger from the Original Dawn of the dead films where he played Roger in the original and the General in the (2004) remake. Derek and Scott discussed this idea and talked about the zombie genre and how fast infected zombies that could open doors were the scariest.
