Shakespeare's Diaries

This is such an amateur production, everything from the interior cinematic photography, the script, to the performance of the actors is woeful. With the possible exception of the main character, who potentially could be better, if he had something decent to work with. It's like an am-dram theatre group got lucky and made a film. The dialogue is stilted, almost as if it were unscripted and the characters, especially the senior partner of the medical practice, miscast. I'm afraid I couldn't watch after the first couple of scenes, so can't say if it improves, or if any of the rest of the cast performed better. That's already 10 minutes of my life I'll never get back. Save your precious viewing time for something more worthy of it. Whoever funded this film was robbed of £75,000.

Malcolm Modele is a discovery. He brings a breath of fresh air to a wonderfully heartwarming tale with a delicate romantic portrayal. One to watch.
