Love It or List It Vacation Homes

Elisa is so rude to. I watch all the love it or list it in North America and all of the real estate agents and designers at least listen to the clients and aren't rude unless it is called for (like the client is rude to them first). Elisa is just unnecessarily rude. If they don't like it she is dismissive and confrontational. I have no idea how she would ever make it in Real estate. Dan also has a habit of doing what he wants vs. What the clients want but at least he isn't confrontational. No wonder there was only one season, even if the location and homes are beautiful. I would watch more seasons if they got rid of Elisa.

I really like this show but why can the owners afford to buy a new property worth more than they will spend on a renovation for their existing? Every episode someone has $1.2m for example to spend on a new property but will only spend $75k on their existing $1m cottage. I spend the whole episode screaming 'increase the renovation budget!'

Also, the format of one partner wanting to stay and the other wanting to sell is a bit tiresome.

This show should be a good one for the genre, but is ruined through leaning WAY too hard into the manufactured drama.

Where there should be a friendly rivalry between the two hosts, it is a presented as an all out competition where the goal of finding the best solution for the owners is completely irrelevant.

The couples give no compromise with the 'love it' partner pointing out everything they don't like about a house, even where easily changed. The 'list it' partner will be illogical, demanding features of the existing house that don't seem to be an issue where the same problem is replicated in a house they tour. You find yourself wondering if the couples will be divorced by the end. The most bizarre aspect is Elisa is openly disrespectful to everyone, which is a choice the producers must have gone with and makes her very unlikable.

The homes are lovely to see, but the format of the show, particularly the complete lack of chemistry between the two hosts make it very easy to see why this show was quickly cancelled.
