I've watched my fair share of k-drama.
So far, you start noticing the repertoire Of ROM-COM where two guys are battling for the love of the main actress lead. But with "Another Miss Oh" I find a more refreshing palate. Two main lead are going through the motion of falling in love but too many obstacles in their way. Main actress is funny and just lays her feelings all down in the open. Main actor is reluctant because he had acquired new phenomenal power and had seen what the future potentially brings. But throughout their journey, you can't help but fall in love with these two main leads. Their chemistry is bursting through the screen and I couldn't help grinning at times like an idiot 😜. You have the support of all the supporting characters and each role played is an essential contribution . So basically, you got the best friend support, the disapproval of parents, the crazy yet funny sidekick(s) that gets you through the rough days...I mean, I could watch this drama over and over again and this is coming from someone that doesn't like to repeat already watched movies. It's heartfelt and their kisses and hugs make me believe in true love. You'll laugh, cry and even get frustrated but all in all, just wonderful. So it's definitely a high recommendation for me and hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did.
There are two Oh Hae Youngs, one is beautiful and successful and one is ordinary and plain. They went to the same school where the ordinary one was continually embarrassed for sharing the same name. There lives become linked again through one man Park Do Kyung who has foreboding visions of his future. An excellent cast with highly entertaining stories of their own, and a truly outstanding performance by Seo Hyeon-Jin who wears her heart on her sleeve. A great series which captures moments and approaches in different relationships, with families, friends and those they love.
An innovated plot, with the terrific acting of two excellent lead couple. Male lead is hot and musculine. Female lead is famous of acting in comedy. But I must confess that I am a bit tired of the fussy girl female lead is acting in every of her drama. Simply looking for something new from her.
All in all, an ok film though.

Another Miss Oh on Netflix in the US. Don't die with regrets is the theme of this K-drama that is part drama, part comedy, and mostly romance. You will love this series so make sure to watch it. "It is such a beautiful story" is a line in one of the episodes nearing the end which really sums up the series. The lead male Eric Moon who plays Park Do Kyung does an excellent job. He is a man with few words in the beginning but has reasons he doesn't express his full feelings to the girl he loves. It takes him a long time to realize why and finally does not want to die with regrets. The series teaches us about living life to the fullest, being embarrassed all the time, worrying about what matters the most, emotional disability and more. If you think you can relate to any of this you should watch it and if you don't think you have anything of this you should watch it anyway because you might not even know how to recognize it. The ending was the best ever - the most hysterically funny of an ending that I can remember in a long time, then fear, then comfort, then happiness. I definitely put it on my list of favorite K-Drama worth watching.
Some elements of the plotline isn't perfect, but what makes up for it is actually the flawed characters, especially the female lead. I love how Another Miss Oh has the female lead tackle confidence and self-esteem issues while finding and accepting love. The show also has her express bitterness, resentment, and even a bit spitefulness during crucial breaking points in her life, and that is refreshing since that's how life can be sometimes. It's not mere sadness and moping around but can be frustrating, angry feelings that can/should be poured out. It makes her relatable b/c it's what many would want to say to those who wronged them, but might never say in real life. It's not that she has the courage to say it to them, but it kind of feels as though she has nothing to lose. Sometimes it comes off as obnoxious and careless, but it can be seen as bold and fearless. She's not at all perfect, and that goes for the other Oh Hae Young as well as us. The story's plotline is interesting to keep you see how everything and the characters are tied together, but most importantly how to live life without regrets; say things you want to say and do things you want to do. Overall, an enjoyable watch!
