    Great Teen Fantasy Flick!

This movie is a guilty pleasure. I give it 4 stars within its genre (teen, fantasy, TV movie). It's about a teen girl who never knew her mother, and after her father dies suddenly, she is thrust back into her mother's life. Her mother lives on an island, and there are strange things going on, bizarre divisions among the island folk. She begins to realize her father kept her from this world, and from her mother, because of the dangers that lurk from certain people, and maybe even from herself. There are mystifying things (beings?), beneath the ocean waves, but are they friend or foe? I don't want to give too much away. I will say that I have never read the book this is based on, but I liked it well enough that I might now. Also, everyone's main complaint (mine too) is that the ending is left open ended, so that a sequel can be made. I think this needs to be made into a TV series. There are so many great characters in this movie, that a TV series could run on for many seasons. I hope they listen to their fans, and create more!

If you like teen fantasy/horror, then you'll probably like this.

Great movie, want to see more

I read online this movie is a pilot which means there may me many more shows if there is interest. I thought it was a fantastic movie and would love to see more!! Can't wait to see where their relationship goes. If she has magical powers and what role her mother plays.great love triangle as well.

    Sequels Anticipated

I'm a bit surprised by the other reviews. Clearly Miranda is the hybrid child of Amelia and her father Greg, a SeaWalker. She is the bridge between the two races. She will bring the two together. What is the mystery is who controls the SeaWalker race? The sea walkers are definitely afraid of who that being is. They do not have free will. The battle is set for a new order. I'll be curious to see what the sequels provide.

Loved the Story, Hated the End

I really liked this movie up until the very end. Just as it was getting exciting, it just ended. I was waiting for something more after the commercial break, but unfortunately all there was after that were ending credits. Please tell me it's going to be a series. We need some kind of ending!! There are so many unanswered questions. I'm not going to spoil anything so I will stop here but seriously, please, it needs a part 2 at the very least.

    Worst ending ever

I do not understand this movie. How was Miranda connected to the sea walkers? Why did her mom behave to strange? Why did Leo think Miranda could save them? Why did Naomi want to hurt or kill Miranda (Leo's sister)? The last 15 minutes was a mess and the end the worst end ever without any answers at all! It was like they came short of money and never finished the movie! It started so good, excitement built up and the movie ended like a dropped egg on the floor :(
