After a mysterious group of individuals breaks into Laura's home and attempts to steal her eight-year-old son, David, the two of them flee town in search of safety. Breaut soon after the failed kidnapping, David becomes extremely ill, suffering from increasingly sporadic psychosis and convulsions. Following her maternal instincts to save him, Laura commits unspeakable acts to keep him alive but soon, she must decide how far she is willing to go to save her son.

In the restaurant scene David made a sword with six blades out of plastic straws. This might be a reference to the six of swords in tarot that holds a visual and metaphorical meaning similar to the movies plot.

Goofs
Laura reports 'people' in David's bedroom, and later claims they poisoned him. There is no evidence of either, but a police officer takes her claims seriously. It seems inconceivable that Laura would not mention that she escaped from a cult while pregnant with David, or that police would spare a detective apparently to indulge her allegation of crimes with no evidence they even took place.

Be in the mood for long story development then you will enjoy

Some people may find this movie slow to start, you have to be in the mood to watch the story develop as I was aware before watching, therefore I enjoyed it but I can see why not all people will. I enjoyed that it was a bit of a satanic movie with twists and turns along the way. The kid actor played his part well and the ending was good.
