I really expected better from Jerry O'Connell. No interesting or compelling characters. No character back stories. IMO poorly written, purposeless.
The rest of this is filler to meet minimum character requirements. The rest of this is filler to meet minimum character requirements. Wasn't quite sure what to expect when I streamed the film but ended up loving it. Clearly done on a small budget, but the filmmaker still adeptly manages to create a deeply cool and unique futuristic setting. The story touches on lots of interesting and relevant themes, from corporate power to to income inequality. Great acting too. Highly recommend!
This was done on a very small budget, and not bad, but something bugged me. The people volunteer to become these drones? Nah, that makes no sense, especially after we see those girls making fun of and harassing one of them.
They could have come up with an incentive, free money or housing or something for their family, or made it an evil plot to do it to people unaware, etc...

Beautifully directed and shot--this independent film delivers--the noir feeling is palpable and the feeling of uneasiness and the reality of pandemics makes Wetware an important film to watch during Covid 19. For a small film, tackling big issues the filmmakers should be commended!
I'd seen Bret Lada in Misty Button and figured I'd check this out. The pacing was slow at times but overall I really liked it. Definitely worth the watch.
