This is a documentary about numbers. One of the numbers was written in Greek by a first century Jew, the famous 666. The second is the paragraph number of an old UN resolution that allowed food shipments into Iraq during the 90s. Resolution 666. Any connection? Random people with only the vaguest familiarity with the Bible and even less with ancient Greek and Hebrew numerals give their opinions.
In trying to draw a connection between the two numbers, a glaring flaw in logic is glibly mentioned and dismissed. While the cruel dictator number 666 of the Book of Revelation denies food to those who won't worship him, UN Resolution 666 provided food to hungry Iraqis cruelly deprived by sanctions. The resolution called on all member countries to send humanitarian shipments of food to Iraq.
The UN Resolution was the opposite of the deprivation described in Revelation 13. Yet, the documentary meanders on, recording the natterings of guys in wifebeaters and tattoos, pretty blondes from the office, people coming out of the bank...ok, so it's a man-on-the-street motif. But must there be a focus group? Do we not have enough meetings in this world that we must watch meetings in documentaries where people with the gift of gab talk too much and too long about things they know too little about?
