Okay.. I, um. My head hurts

So, let me start by saying I will watch this whole movie than update as and if needed. I love cheesy cheeky horror films I truely do. My partner refuses to look at my streaming accounts due to the amount I watch, thus the reason why this title showed up.

With that said let me give my review based on the first 3 minutes .. yes, the first three minutes of this movie.

The opening scene is what I assume is "the cabin". I am already confused by this screen and wondering what they are trying to say by this. It appears to be dusk or maybe later. The cabin and trees are brightly light with flood lights. I can't tell if it's supposed to be day or night. Then suddenly, the durt burst open and the heroin runs though the door as two men in shrouds chasing after her though the woods.

She quicky darts and zigzags back and forth, panting and sobbing. Then as the two people catche her, and I think "oh no! She's done for!?" But no! She bust her Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon moves! I again have many questions at this point. Why is she scared? Who is she? How did they catch her if she is so good?

After several round house kicks, dodging attacks like Neo from The Matrix she finishes the last dude with her Kamehameha Elbow Drop.

As I am sitting here befuttled I notice the subtitles have her titled as "Kung Fu Virgin" Okay.... Next thing I know she is spilling her blood on what appers to be a book.. again questions. Where did this book come from?

Then a black CGI death Unicron from what looks like a 12 year olds 1980 Mac computer shows up and stabs her with it's horn and bamn.... 3 minutes of my life gone with me left wondering what just happened.

So yeah, enjoy the movie because I'm unsure what's happening in my life right now.

Low budget but so much heart and creativity!

This movie is a love letter to Evil Dead and the "cabin in the woods" horror genre. It is a horror comedy and leans more towards the comedy side. If you are expecting a movie with a lot of scares or serious story, this isn't it. This is a movie carefully crafted for fans of the evil dead and campy horror. The budget may be small but this movie was super fun. The actors gave it their all and I appreciate the generous portion of high quality boobage. It got better and better as it went along. Highly recommended to that small group of freaks that love stuff like this.

Goofy and cheesy low-budget effort with some minor issues

Following a horrendous personal day, a woman agrees to join her friends for a camping vacation at a secluded cabin in the woods, but when it turns out to by a ploy by a demonic cult to possess her friends to get access to her she has to fight off the creatures to get away.

This one ended up being a decent if slightly flawed effort. When this one works is due to the wholly engaging setup of getting everything together for the experiences at the cabin. Starting with her bad luck of performing for an awful band which fires her for saying that and returning home to her boyfriend leaving her and her best friend being unsupportive, the whole setup for the trip and what it means for her is all laid out quite nicely. As well, with the few flashes of the demonic entities of the cabin offering some fine foreshadowing of the major events to come and a couple of chilling visions anyway, this setup in concept works quite well to give this a great reason for the group to take the trip. The few hints of comedy about her awkwardness in their company is a nice help to things. That leads into the rather fun and somewhat chilling action that occurs at the cabin. Starting almost immediately with the signs that something's wrong by the changing picture in the living room, the series of tactics used to possess each of the friends by having spiders attack the screwing couple or the parasite swimming up the one in the bath manage to give a great indication of where this is going as the possessed launch some ingenious attacks to get at her. Utilizing the severed head to the various possessed animals they have to battle and the big confrontation with the final demons which are goofy, silly and wholly enjoyable, this one has a lot to like in the final half. Combined with a lot of impressive cheesy practical effects for the monsters and gore, these all make for a fun time with this one. There are some issues to be had with this one. The major flaw found here is the wholly messy and underwhelming story that tends to play by its own rules whenever it wants to, resulting in some confusing efforts here. By going for the anyone can be possessed at any time route and not making any rules about what the possessed can do, what happens to them while possessed or how their attacks have a central purpose, there's no main throughline as to how the behavior affected by the possession works resulting in a wholly discordant feeling. Likewise, you also have to deal with a multitude of budgetary issues, from unimpressive CGI inserts, lackluster fight choreography and a single-location setup which all manage to make it obvious for some about this kind of film. Overall, these are what manage to hold it back the most.

Rated Unrated/R: Graphic Violence, Nudity, Extreme Graphic Language, a sex scene and drug use.

'No' is a word that pretty much sums up the entire movie here...

I didn't even know what this movie was about prior to sitting down to watch it, only that it was supposedly a horror movie.

Well, this was a low budget movie in every aspect of that term; from the cheesy special effects, to the acting and to the production level. Now, you might wonder if it was bad enough to actually be entertaining and watchable. Nope. Let me just clear that right up; it wasn't!

I managed to endure about 15 minutes of this movie before I gave up. It was just unfathomably boring and lacked production value to be appealing to me.

The acting in the movie was every bit as expected for a movie such as this. The plus side here was that it was all unfamiliar faces on the screen.

I am not going to be returning to watch more of "Tarnation", as the movie had absolutely no appeal to me in any way.
