Arijit Singh, known for his calm and humble demeanor, recently found himself in an uncomfortable situation during his UK concert. A video shared by a fan account captured the singer addressing an incident where a female fan was reportedly mishandled by a security guard. The fan complained that she was grabbed by the neck, prompting Arijit to pause his performance and express his disapproval.
Arijit, visibly concerned, spoke into the microphone, saying, “It’s not fair to grab somebody like that,” while gesturing toward his neck. He then addressed the security guards, asking them to sit down and deescalate the situation. Turning to the woman, he sincerely apologized, saying, “I am really sorry, ma’am. I wish I was there to protect you, but I could not.” His genuine concern for his fan won the hearts of many, further highlighting his humble nature.

Warning: contains major spoilers for War of the Worlds season one.
The first thing to remember about Howard Overman’s moodily atmospheric War of the Worlds is that if novelist H.G. Wells were here today (and had the required TV streaming package), he probably wouldn’t recognise it as his story. Aside from an alien invasion that wipes out much of Earth’s population, the TV drama had little crossover with Wells’ novel. Instead of tripods with heat rays, it had cyborg dogs with machine gun heads. Instead of a solitary journalist wandering around Woking, it had a large cast of scientists, soldiers, teenagers and others, spread across the UK and France. Instead of dealing with themes of colonial imperialism, it was mostly about family and loss. And instead of red weed-spreading Martians it had… well, that’s the question. Ahead of season two’s arrival on Epix in the...

One hundred years ago this week, a white mob attacked the Greenwood neighborhood of segregated Tulsa, Ok, a thriving business district known as “Black Wall Street” where many of the city’s roughly 10,000 Black residents lived.
The dispute centered on a charge of sexual assault by a black teenager against a white elevator operator. Fearing a lynching, an armed cadre of Black men confronted an equally armed group of white men outside the jail where the teen was being held. Shot were fired, and the aftermath saw a two-day spree of murder, assault, arson and looting, one of the worst incidents of racial violence in American history. The charges against the teen were later dropped.
As the country marks the awful event’s centennial, many TV networks are airing programs about the massacre, its aftermath and its historical impact. Here’s a roundup of some of programming and podcasts tied...

Star Wars: The Clone Wars is having a Renaissance at the moment. The powerful, status quo-shattering season seven was just one of the ways this fan-favorite animated series was able to live on past its original 2014 series finale. And after the success of the seventh season, which saw the show revisit some of the darkest moments in Revenge of the Sith, it isn’t much of a surprise that Lucasfilm is anxious to bring more The Clone Wars stories to life.

Tucked into a recent Variety article about the challenges movie studios are facing when it comes to starting or relaunching production on a number of tentpole films was this little nugget: “The biggest film in pre-production that has yet to move its start date is Marvel’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Pre-production has continued remotely on the superhero film, and sources say it is still on track to start shooting in June.”
Like every other studio during the Covid-19 pandemic, Marvel has recently shut down: while the kick-off to the McU’s Phase 4, Black Widow, is completed and awaiting a new release date, other upcoming film and streaming projects are in a different kind of limbo: Eternals is reportedly in post-production, while The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings have all halted physical production at various stages.

An intriguing new theory about the Marvel Cinematic Universe has emerged that suggests we could be seeing an adaptation of the World War Hulk storyline sometime in the future. Additionally, it's suggested that none other than Wanda Maximoff, aka Scarlet Witch, is the one who will set these catastrophic events in motion. The pieces of the puzzle will be moved into place during Phase 4 in projects like WandaVision and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
As with anything in this particular arena, it's just a fan theory and nothing more. Though, it's compelling enough to discuss. Be that as it may, it shouldn't be taken as something that is definitely going to happen. With that in mind, Reddit user TheLazerShell recently posted some broad predictions for the future of the McU. One of the biggest predictions is that much of Marvel Phase 4 (and likely Phase 5) will lead us to World War Hulk.
