I'm very prone to watching, and actually liking, trashy found footage horror films. Check the archive of my reviews and you'll see this is true.
Even with that being the case, this movie is absolutely god-awful. It is possessed of exactly zero redeeming value. Admittedly, the acting isn't bad, but the actors are neither doing or saying anything that you would ever want to see or hear. It may as well be a found footage movie of people cleaning a bathroom but with less entertainment value.
A found footage film is typically a lot of glacially slow buildup to a climactic scene right at the end where you get your little doggy-treat payoff of some actual horror or something supernatural as your reward for having invested all that time in the lead up. Not in this movie. All but no buildup and then a nothing payoff at the end.
Take everybody's word for it in the reviews here. It's the biggest nothing of a movie ever made. Especially don't watch it trying to find out why everybody says it's so bad.

Slow burning, didn't really get going, flash scares in line with title ... Kept me all the way to the end though, but ultimately left with a feeling of ... 'thats it?!' mmmmm
Not as bad as people say,but definitely not too good)
The idea is interesting, story too, acting is decent.I would say, that it just feels underdeveloped, like there should be more of explanation or conclusion. But not a bad one time watch.
Solely for found-footage diehards who enjoy urban legends and the like. I'm on my second time watching, and starting to think I fell asleep the first time. There's quite a bit of obnoxious overacting with some of the leads. The sound is terrible; very bad acoustics in some scenes, lots of characters talking over each other so nobody can be understood. There's a decent mystery overshadowed by the overcaffeinated dialogue, and it would be a lot better if it were more like an hour long because there's a lot of improvised 'filler' stuff that only erodes one's interest quickly. You can skip about the first ten minutes and won't miss anything, and every time something interesting happens you can fast-forward for another 5-10 minutes and, once again, miss nothing important.
This is actually a pretty good found footage movie. Pretty good acting, a very mysterious storyline, and some jump scares. Though "screamer" videos are very outdated and stupid, this movie takes something everyone thinks little of and has never thought deep into, and gives it a scary back story and spin. The film's plot revolves around a website and the website similar to youtube. Videos can be submitted to the site by viewers by one of two ways. One way gsthers all their info and the other, apparently, does not. A mysterious video is added anonymously and it garners the attention of the crew quickly . The website director ends up talking on the phone with the girl in the video in an attempt to find out where it came from. After getting nowhere, and after a long, but key to the story, first and second act, the group sets out to unveil the origin of the footage and to prove the authenticity of it. The director being very excited and oblivious, is aided by his weary crew into the dark of the night. The setup is creepy and the locations used are goodand scary. The house of Tara is extremely scary. The movie sort of has that raw sort of feeling that U only see in certain found footage films such as v/h/s, blair witch, hooked up, etc. Only intellectual horror fans and die hard found footage fans will know what im talking about. The movie is slow paced but doesn't feel overly long. The characters are convincing enough and even kinda likeable. Good not great. Worth the watch even the buy for collectors.
