Smother's Day

The kids stand up to Bev for being irrational, Bev sulks, the kids bow down and try to make it up to her.

Sound familiar? Yes, of course it does, because this very much is the plot of nearly episode of this show. Yes, they do attempt some variation, but by and large this is the show in a nutshell.

We've even seen the elements of the B plot before as well. Murray has a soft side - who knew?!

And while it's all very much the standard format every time I keep watching the show because it's warm and it's got some good lines in it each episode. A bit of a break from the formula would be nice though.

The airline ticket that Adam's father gives him to go to Space Camp says Oceanic Airlines. The same fictional airline from the tv series "Lost".

Goofs
Adam, Emmy and Dave Kim comes out of theater after see SpaceCqmp which came out June of 1986. Emmy refers to the movies Mannequin and Weekend at Bernie's. Mannequin wasn't released until February 13,1987 and Weekend at Bernie's didn't come out until July 5, 1989.
