Sekkô Boys

For the good parts to it, there was never an anime that I've seen were about historic stone sculptures who were a "boy band group", this anime series description is interesting. Also the songs were ok as well as the Japanese sub actors voicing the characters.

However the plot was rather uninteresting and the busts just looked unoriginal. It seemed like someone lazily used Google images first and then used a cheap photo editor app to just filter them rather than make them even more original.

Yeah this really isn't a great anime to be taken seriously in all honesty, I am disappointed that I expected less of this anime. It would've been great if the plot just had a nice interesting serious flow to it and that the sculptures didn't look like they were being copied from the internet.

Shows like this are exactly why anime is so great. This show is pure, silly, stupid fun. At its core, it's simply about a group of boys trying to become idols. The twist is that the group of boys are actually four famous sculptures. The type of hijinks they get into are the typical ones you would find in a idol show but it's the fact that they're sculptures that makes the show funny.

Don't come into this. Thinking you're going to find something groundbreaking here. They're 7-minute long episodes and they're just silly fun.
