Dead Rising Endgame is a disappointing sequel to the action zombie genre. Worst than the first movie. First of all the plot is boring. About a government conspiracy and cover ups with the zombrex chips. While the good guys have to travel into a quarantined infected city to stop there servers. Yes. Some things do get left open. Maybe for another sequel. It also lacks the action than the first. But when Chase does fight against zombies. It does get entertaining and creative for those rare moments. Especially during the escalators scene. Also a new addition is the zombies are faster and stronger which makes it a little exciting. The acting has yet to improve. The script and direction is filled with bad dialogue. Slow and boring direction with its sub plot. And uneven pacing. I hope they get to reboot the adaptations and make better movies out of them.

If you enjoyed the first one, I think you will enjoy this one as well. It's about the same quality etc. I didn't personally jump or get scared, but few movies do that to me anyhow.
The first time Dead Rising transitioned into cinema was not met with critical acclaimed, but at least it has familiarity with the game's brash and quirky nature. This time around, it delves right back into zombie infested world using a lot of action movie settings, but surprisingly slim on action itself. It takes itself seriously with predicaments and characters audience would barely care about.
Story continues along with the group of journalists who stumbles on a government secret. The characters from the first movie are not that memorable and as they are dropped into hot zone straight away, there's no connection with audience, especially since they seem to squabble on every issues. The silly antics from the game are almost buried, which is ironic since that is the main draw, not the conspiracy thriller.
Cinematography looks bland, with occasional cool shots before more dialogues transpire blandly, even then it only looks like ordinary city scenery. It doesn't convey the hectic atmosphere for infected world. Action is thin as well, only occurring about halfway through and not that lengthy or well-choreographed either.
The sequel not only lost its core foundation, it strays too far into thriller with ill-equipped script and characterization.

Didnt think through end of times 2 yrs later but yet in back ground shots you see airplanes and moving traffiic well as rainy yet still see people in background walking with umbreallas in a world covered by zombies
This movie was as good as the first part WatchTower. Instead of being 2 hours like the first one this movie is just an hour and a half. They cut off a lot of the fluff boring part from the first one. The zombie kills in this one I believe is way better than the first movie. However, there's not enough zombies in the film but more soldiers and people than anything else. This movie takes itself a little bit more serious than the first one too. They did leave this movie ending opened for another sequel if they wanted to. I'm surprised they haven't already but it's been 4 years already since this movie came out.

- TriviaThe film's sequel was announced a month later after Dead Rising (2015).
- GoofsAt the beginning of the movie when you had the two women in the surveillance van, you can see traffic moving freely at the intersection behind them.
Which is because they are actually waiting outside of the Quarantine Zone. That is evident when they are picking up Chase who has just left the QZ.
