Went to this movie with great expectations...which were not let down by the movie...kudos to the director ,this being his debut film, for making a niche movie...

It starts off slowly ,giving a short and crisp intro for each character involved in the proceedings, and then picks up express pace and finally leaves us laughing our hearts out in the interval block...Been a while in Tamil Cinema where we are faced with a delicious interval block wanting more...

The Scenes involving the Uganda scenario are hilarious...as are the scenes involving the Silo...Dialogues deserve a special mention here..witty and funny to the core..they keep the audience engaged and looking for hidden meanings here and there..

The film has its share of lows nevertheless...The initial scenes involving poker seems forced (influence of several Guy Ritchie films popped up) and removed from the main plot. Climax seemed to make the usual formulaic compromise of shootings, blow-ups etc..

Overall, a fun filled hilarious ride that we can go along without any fear...After Naanum Rowdy Thaan another superb Black Comedy film that has entertained me..expecting more such films from the team..

Jil Jung Juk (A) TAMIL ----- my Rating: ★★★★ PAKKA COMMERCIAL STRENGTHS: * Strong adult dialogues.... * Casting, Performances and Direction keeps you engaging... * Outstanding screenplay which entertains from start till end. * Sound mixing and BGM perfect as the movie progress.... WEAKNESSES: * Simple storyline.... * In second half, it seems to be little lengthy.... FINAL VERDICT: * Overall, it is a perfect adult entertainer with some masala dialogues which makes some laughs loudly. First half keeps you engaging by introducing characters and explaining the plot what it is going to happen. Later as the movie progress, the major twist comes in the interval block. You will jump out of the seat and clap your hands for an awesome intermission. Second half starts up with few new more characters to balance the movie go on but lacks a bit. then again bring some twisty and quirky things keeps you engaging again. The story revolves around a well designed pink car(sarcasm intended). The script is good, humor is the lifeline of such a movie.

Jil Jung Juk - Where Art and Talent meet.

First of all I was amazed to realize that the theatre was almost 90% empty for this movie. THat time i also remember that the audince will only enjoy the usual - drama-revenge flicks. This movie is a milestone in Tamil movie industry- with a sin city / double barrel like cinematography. Shreyaas Krishna did his totally best pack to shots for getting a retro look. acting by Siddhard, Avinash, Sananth, Radharavi, Amerendran etc is too good. Deeraj Vaidy never failed to make an impression out of it. The story is simple - a cocaine - heist - chase story. but the making and the color tones which they used is ivy new in the industry. Too bad that the poor critics haven't even understood the concept of it or the beauty in the making. I am damn sure that this movie will come up as a classic after 10 years just like anbe sivam and people will say that this is a must watch where they haven't watched it on theatre.

This isn't everyone's cup of tea. JJJ is really witty and has excellent cinematography and soundtracks. The climax could've been better. That clock thing in the climax was bad. Until then the movie kept me entertained. It's an ambitious movie. Just the writing wasn't good enough. It lacked consistency. Director Deeraj Vaidy is a promising talent. Too bad he didn't get much projects after this. I hope to get to see more movies like this but with better writing and zero cliches.
