    What You Didn't Know

You've almost certainly heard of Tom Thumb, that storybook character who was the size of a thumb, hence the name. What this cartoon would have you believe is that he went to Camelot and had a great adventure and was dubbed a Knight of The Round Table

It's the last cartoon produced by Hugh Harman. Harman had begun with Disney back in Kansas City He and partner Rudy Ising were always anxious to be their own bosses. They fell out with Disney, founded Merry Melodies and Mooney Tunes, lost that, got a contract with MGM. Although they did a lot of cartoons for Metro, and even won an Oscar, their sweet-natured cartoons were not popular, and gradually they retreated to industrial films.

This one is too sweet and sickly for my taste.
