Both Lordi's music and music videos in the 2010s evolved into something much darker and musically heavier compared to the style that brought them fame after winning the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest. Their monster costumes also became creepier and more sinister in appearance.
Personally, though, I prefer the early 2000s style. I feel that something original and "monster-lovely" was lost in the shift toward more professionally polished tracks and darker-toned videos. The biggest issue for me is that, by the 2010s, Lordi's music videos were no longer horror short films told as rock anthems. Instead, they became more like standard music videos with horror-themed visuals added to support the mood-often lacking a clear plot.
This change is especially noticeable in this particular video, where the band is the clear centerpiece-frequently shown in unnecessarily close-up shots-while the "innocent but twisted people" connected to the song's theme appear only briefly and from a distance, with little narrative context.
