Blind

Premise had a potential of having a great thriller cinema. Director and writer didn't know what they were doing, its so undercooked crime thriller that you will cringe at every moment there is a twist. Shot in London but there are hardly people on the roads at all the time.

Talented police officer turned blind runs into a serial killer and how her skills comes in to play to chase down this killer would have been great if they have incorporated great puzzles. Serial killer shown here has no impact and randomly appears and disappears. He doesn't kill people when it's easiest and that is not by design. So many flaws. Crime thriller written and directed by amateur team.

Blind review :

Another week in Bollywood with yet another senseless remake; Blind is adapted from a South Korean thriller and premiered directly on JioCinema this friday. Wise call by the makers I would say, as this movie wouldn't have lasted one day in theatres. No kidding!!

A serial killer (Purab Kohli) is on the loose and only one blind (ex) cop (Sonam Kapoor) has interacted with him once. How this lady manages to nab the dangerous criminal forms the crux of this lethargic and yawn inducing screenplay.

Sonam Kapoor as the main lead, is a disaster yet again proving her supremely untalented acting skills. This movie needed a Vidya Balan, boss!! Purab Kohli fails to scare in a negative role of the psychopath doctor. Vinay Pathak is just about okey dokey as the investigating cop.

Most of the film's dialogues are in English and the few Hindi ones suck big time. The foreign locales add zero value to the plot and I wonder why the movie couldn't be based in our own swadesh!!

Unsolicited suggestion: Act blind as well as deaf if anyone recommends you this tripe. You will do yourself a big favour!!

Film Review: Blind streaming on Jio Cinema

She is fiercely independent and doesn't want her disability to hold her back . This is when a serial killer enters her life and starts stalking her. Will our blind protagonist come out a winner is what this film is all about.

A female protagonist with a disability stalked by a serial killer looks like an interesting subject for an engaging suspense thriller. However this isn't the case!!

Purab Kohli as the serial killer ( i am not giving up the suspense, this is revealed at the start itself) doesn't send a chill down ur spine like Aashutosh Rana in Dushman or a Prashant Narayanan in Murder 2 have shown in the past. He is quite insipid and has tried to put out his best serious, gaunt look. Unfortunately neither convincing, nor scary!!

Sonam Kapoor does well in her role and so does Vinay Pathak as a Police officer assisting her in the case!!

Not a bad film... yet it felt as if something was missing in it- jumpscare moments, element of surprise, suspense & tension were very few!!

Cudve definitely been better!! One time watch if u like Sonam Kapoor!!

Avoid this movie from every aspect

Plot/Story/Thrill : Can I rate -ve. Mindless chase. Zero usage of cctv but they have gps. No need of preparing sketch. Killer able to kill multiple cops but failed to kill blind girl. Even that dog is wasted.

Acting: Sonam is already waste but there are other nice actors who all have wasted time and effort here.

I heard it is copied from some other movie. Have they wonder while copying or original was already bad I have seen so many thrillers but this remains worst. How can people create such mindless movie and even actors don't look at the script before signing.

The film lacked a compelling narrative, with an absence of a coherent backstory for the antagonist. Moreover the characters in the movie (excluding the protagonist) hardly had any personality or story. The plot fixated on the life of the protagonist (Sonam Kapoor) and started off well, 50 minutes into the film the story lacked connect to the rest of the film. The movie suffered from a lack of cohesion, leaving several gaps in its overall storytelling. Moreover, the casting and acting didn't make the movie any better, failing to enhance the quality of the film. I truly can't believe how the movie has a 8.3 rating on this platform, given how horrible it was.
