        A Poetic Love Story !

A simple love story where there is no happy ending!

The movie has fantastic cinematography compared to the recent released films.

The storyline is quite a bit shaky in some places. Music and scores are placed in right positions. Background scores are sometimes played late - which gives a feeling that the editor forgot to put music when a specific sequence hits up.

The acting of the male protagonist is average ,on the other hand Pori Moni (female protagonist) has explored herself in new ways in acting in the movie. She didn't even look like a commercial movie actress.

The movie shows one side of love and lust ,and another side of greed and Karma. It also shows how one's karma is connected to other people's grief and frustration.

The best scene of the movie must be the dancing in the rain. Porimoni showed her dancing skills a little bit.

The recent movies are following the same path of sad ending! I don't know it's a good or bad thing , but I know one thing that all the films in recent times are showing one single emotion at the end with a complex gestures of climax. But, there is a subtle portray of emotion in this movie's ending - it depicts the visual expression in line with the ending plot which is not present in other films. From that core, we can easily say that this movie has all the components of being an art film and a commercial film at the same time.

I gave it an 8 for : good cinematography, better music and simplicity of the ending.

Wish I had seen it earlier, on Big Screen

Watching Hollywood movies, it is pretty normal to think film industry in BD is way behind. As an engineering student again as a movie lover, I always prefer choose movies to watch precisely. When you're a movie lover yet busy, you do not have the luxury to explore movies which are not that famous. And taking a little faith in Giasuddin Selim, who is famous for his work 'Monpura', I chose to watch his latest work 'Swapnajaal'.

And I'm disappointed. Not because I watched it, because I didn't watch on Big Screen. I could've showed my support to him, no matter how small it is, inspiring him to keep up this work. Salute.

Even the plot rotate around two love birds, this film reflects the sick mentality of the society itself. It has shown the tendency of powerful people to take over other's property, no matter how brutal actions require. How people take advantages when someone needs help instead of supporting him/her. This film works as a mirror that reflects our own dark sides.

I often think, Bangali films takes long time to tell a simple story (about 2hours+). Most of the directors do not cut out unnecessary shots thinking how much effort they did on those shots. This long journey makes viewers to lose their focus on the subject. 'Swapojaal' also has running time for about 2 hours 20 minutes. But Giasuddin made this long journey worth every second. Each detail was necessary to viewers. So, if you're still thinking if you should watch it or not, read next paragrap.

If you're looking for a teenage love drama, you are not suitable for this. This story revolves around far more and beyond.

In the end, I'd like to appreciate Pori Moni's effort in this. She changed the way I thought about her before. She indeed can act and with proper guidance she will rule Bangladesh Film Industry in future. I pray for her success.

        Masterpiece!!

"Swapnajaal" is remarkable just because Pori Moni isn't gratingly over the top as she is in most movies. "Swapnajaal" is well-scripted and well-acted with gorgeous visuals shot on location in Bangladesh & India. It's a charming film with wit fresh enough for a modern audience. Gias Uddin Selim out all the elements with care and precision The movie remains a great tonic.

        Best Romantic Movie in Bangladesh

A film from the highly acclaimed director of Monpura, where starring most popular actress Pori Moni. The story of the film about the love of a young couple.

Kamrul Hasan Khasru's cinematography is all but flawless, and the art direction (by Anworul Haque and Samar Halder) is also commendable, especially in the latter part of the film.

Set in the riverside Chandpur suburbs of the '90s, "Swapnajaal" at its core is the story of Opu (Yash Rohan) and Shuvra (Pori Moni), two teenagers in 'young love'. Their blooming romance take a dramatic turn south when conniving influential businessman Aynal Gazi (Fazlur Rahman Babu), with the help of his trusted aide Thandu (Iresh Zaker) tactfully oust Shuvra and her family from their home. Opu fights back to bring justice to Shuvra's family and to get back his love, but even after justice is served, there are bigger obstacles on the way to their reunion.

It is the Best Romantic Movie in Bangladesh.

a glimpse of hope for better future

Nearly flawless to an untrained yet skeptic eye. A really captivating story with a fine script which is accompanied by a great selection for casts. Definitely unconventional comparing to Bangladeshi standards but a beautiful movie I would love to watch and recommend for the whole family.
