Necessary viewing

A heartbreaking and enraging documentary about the Stolen Generations of Indigenous people in Australia. Several Aboriginal women share their stories of their forced removal as very young children, their lives in the missions and care homes and how they were forced to work for almost nothing. They share their traumas and loss of identity and how they are still waiting for reparations from government many generations after these terrible practices began.

Very informative

I came across this on Prime and watched it because I'm studying childcare and some modules are about working with A&I families, community groups and staff. This documentary was very helpful in understanding the government's past treatment of indigenous people and how this continues to affect them and their descendants today. Definitely one I'd recommend to anyone.
