Help Me

It was really great, it's worth watching the next episodes and I hope the next episodes are good. It was very scary and it is worth giving ten stars. It has a good characterization.

An interesting start to the series, plot starts as basic post apocalypse survivor hideout but then adds some good twists. The vampires read a lot like zombies. Decent acting and the effects work.

Honestly. Cliche story, somebody got vampires mixed up with zombies, writing is cringeworthy, editing forgot the music somewhere mid-episode and the viewer is forced to endure a cross between a bad soap opera and a C roll horror in a theatre-like atmosphere. And then this monstrosity lasted for 5 seasons but shows like Manifest get canceled? How????

The first time watching, it was not that good but I enjoyed it more the second watch, I remember it being much better, most shows have a difficult pilot episode, honestly its understandable why because a pilot is only meant to catch your interests if a show starts with a great pilot that ends up overshadowing the rest of the episodes, someone made a horrible mistake, pilot are not designed to be amazing its just there to set things up

This Van Helsing is Vanessa Helsing (Kelly Overton) a descendant of the famous vampire slayer.

Set in the near future. Precisely in 2019, Vanessa wakes up under military guard in a hospital. She has no idea what has happened to her after waking up from a coma. Those guarding her do not have a clue why they are doing so.

All they know that Vanessa is a woman of importance. The world is infested by vampires but these ones act like zombies. Vanessa does not turn into a vampire after being bitten.

The pilot is grim and grimy. It also looks cheap and nasty being largely set in a hospital. It looks like a typical low budget SyFy stuff.

It just tread water until Vanessa woke up, then it became more interesting. That is not saying much though. This is a weak opener. The series managed to run for 5 years.
