I'm a big fan of British comedy so i'd thought i should check this out. I'll be honest, it's not the best. I like Josh Widdecombe but this could have been a lot better. The acting is a bit crap but in a way makes it more funny. Personally i think the character of Geoff, the annoying landlord who won't leave them alone is a lot like Jim from the channel 4 sitcom Friday Night Dinner, just a more sane and less funny version. The plots for the episodes are clever and funny but it's not really Laugh out loud hilarious and i definitely won't rush to watch it again. If it wasn't for Ellis James then i would probably rate it even lower!
Edit: I take this all back, it's 7 months later and i'm rewatching. It's actually great. Watch it again and you will appreciate it more 👍changing to 10/10.

Pure genius start to finish. The series has had nowhere near the exposure it deserves. The BBC need to get this band back together on this, or something similar, asap. Outstanding cast with cameos any comedy would envy. Truly British in spirit whilst also perfectly encapsulating those awkward in between years of university and adulthood. This has overtaken Friends as our go to comedy series. The current rating of 6.7 is quite unbelievable and not appreciative of the real thought and collaborative co design that has clearly gone into the scripts. The BBC recently asked what it could do better. More comedy like this is the answer.
Great comedy plotting. Recognise all the characters from my post in days trying to relive old times.

I see myself in Josh's awkwardness. Funny in an uncomfortable way, just like real life! Josh's friends are all flawed in unique ways. You end up wishing the best for them even though their pain is what makes it funny!
I came across this sitcom late in the series by accident and I'm very glad I did. I hadn't seen a promo for it so had no preconceptions but it drew me in. I really enjoyed it so went back and downloaded the series from the start. It's one of those nice little sitcoms that you can put on to cheer you up knowing it's going to deliver. It's as good as any modern sitcom that I've seen and better than most, so I feel the previous reviews slating it are unnecessarily negative. Apart from the fact it's a sitcom, there is no real comparison to my family. That was very safe and mainstream with a weak gag every 10 seconds, 'Josh' is more subtle and I think nicely written. I haven't seen a weak episode yet. If you enjoy /appreciated shows like 'Spaced', 'Still Game' or 'People doing nothing ', I can't see any reason why this won't satisfy. This sitcom is up to date and often laugh out loud funny. All of the characters are likable, believable and subtly acted. Kate's mum being played by Jennifer Saunders is a nice addition. Don't listen to the misery's giving it 1 star. It's definitely worth a watch to make up your own mind.
