    Wonderful, insightful, informative...

Wonderful, insightful, informative... I just finished watching this. I found family watching the movie "MURU", movie based on this event. I found myself NOT willing to watch the movie due to my understanding that the event mentioned more to me than just a watered down version of the truth of such a local matter here in New Zealand. And when TAME ITI & others were judged, criminalized & acted UNJUSTIFIED... Or were they!!???... that's the questions that needs asking or answering.

New Zealand's response to the world's changing behaviors & action regarding terrorism. As the Americans would say "Protect their land, from all foreign or domestic matters.

Understand or find understanding in your viewing of this doco.

    Informative documentary

The Price of Peace follows Tame Iti, an activist for the Maori after his arrest along with about 100 other people who were accused by the New Zealand police of having military style camps with plans of committing plans such as murders and kidnapping basically terroristic attacks in New Zealand in order to be listened to by the Crown and for laws to be passed for the protection, and the proper acknowledgement of the Maori people past and present. The discovery of the camps was made in 2007, and the court case goes on for over 5 years. Tame Iti does not deny that there were camps set up however they do deny the crimes that the police are alleging they would have done if not caught. At the end of the 5 years, 4 people stood trial, 2 people served jail time and 2 served home arrest.

I will heavily recommend, read history books violence and silence was and still is a tactic by oppressors but is problem when the oppressed use it.
