    Worth to watch

Interest plot, not expensive movie, but very nice romance and roleplaying....

    When it comes to twists

    7.6 stars.

Do you see a lot of Hallmark type movies that attempt to give an original version of "meant to be" encounters between soulmates? I can recall about a dozen of them. I have to admit, this one was craftier than most. I thoroughly enjoyed the comedic aspects of the interactions between the secondary characters. The lead female is new for me, I don't recall seeing her much if ever. I've seen the man a few times. The supporting female and male (barista) we're both new to me as well. The other supporting male (bozo call center co-worker) is very recognizable. He's a true slouch in this story.

The timing of lost opportunities and near misses was expertly engineered for full effect, and to me that gives this film more legitimacy as a work of art. It is entertainment for the sake of improving the audience's mood and experience. This is good filmmaking on a low budget.

    Just ok

Main characters were ok. The Actor that played Tom, he's just awful. Not sure how he keeps getting acting gigs. And WOW, she says she doesn't need a tow while her car is in a ditch? Does she think the car fairies are going to come and pull it out and make it all better??? Just an ok movie, nothing special.

    Fresh, differrent

I can't think of a premise like this out of several hundred movies of this type. (Larry Levinson is the producer and he did Hallmark type movies before there was a channel.) They stayed away from many of the common plot devices. Another aspect that was a little different is that this is really three love stories. Through the middle, they did some obvious things, like Tom's trick, but also some small surprises. I didn't see the surprise at the end coming and was kind of wondering how they were going to tie things together. They skipped over a couple of the ways you might have expected. So there's a lot of good in the story.

I do not like embarrassing comedy. Lots of calls to complete strangers trying to find the mystery girl. But that's just me.

Cassie Steele and Ryan Kennedy had chemistry when they were together in the story. Both did a good job. Steele did well with the insecure woman who is embarrassed half the time and Kennedy showed a lot of life despite the depressing back story which many actors would have played in a manner that was too reserved. But because of the way the story was structured, these weren't together as much as in some movies of this type. I missed that. The chemistry was between Kelley's friend and Jeff's friend, played by Karissa Tynes and Nathan Mitchell. I am a fan of Andrea Brooks in supporting roles, but I didn't care for her cavalier character. The viewer isn't supposed to like Andrew Francis' Tom, and even so, I thought he did it a bit too cliché.

I think the story is fresh enough with good characters so that it is worth a view.

    Low-average TV movie

"My name is Jeff" was probably the best line.

Neither of the main characters are relatable. The whole thing seems thoroughly unrealistic. Decent for a TV movie, so it gets a 4.

When Kelly stops the car to get into the backseat, it is either in park or in neutral with the parking brake on, as it does not roll anywhere despite being on a down grade. When she gets in the front seat, she moves the shifter from neutral to reverse. In a modern car with an automatic transmission, this is impossible to do without pressing the parking brake and pressing the lockout button on the shifter. Had the car gone into reverse, it would not have rolled forward, instead it would have likely sat still or possibly begun slowly reversing. In either event, the autocall feature would not have been triggered and she would never have met Jeff.
