The Living Scriptures "The Animated Book of Mormon" TV series like many of the cartoons at the time in the 1980s, was produced overseas in South Korea due to the lower cost and the fact that it is time consuming and expensive to make. Also it is much cheaper to outsource animation overseas in Asian countries like South Korea than it is to produce it in North America.
