    A captivating look

The Rebound plays like a thrilling sports movie, with colorful characters and a nail-biting finale. But the heart of the Rebound is in its empathetic look at the overlooked community of disabled basketball players. Beautifully shot and directed, perfectly edited and structured, the film never condescends to its subjects, instead it comes alongside them, giving ample weight to what the players' have overcome in their lives and the sports aspirations they all hold for their athletic passions. The Rebound is one of the best documents on disability in America that I've seen. (Watched with a sold out crowd at the Naples International Film Festival).

    A Must Watch Documentary

An exceptional documentary that shines a much-needed spotlight on the world of wheelchair basketball. The film follows individuals who've experienced life-altering injuries, discovering wheelchair basketball for recovery. Shaina Allen, the director, knew exactly how to capture the raw emotions and personal struggles of the talent. It highlights the resilience of the human spirit, the healing potential of sports, and the significance of inclusivity and accessibility. The film left me with a newfound appreciation for the human will, to continue, to persevere, and to reach one's full potential. Two Thumbs Up.

    Outstanding documentary!!

The Rebound is an outstanding documentary! Compelling, exciting, emotional, and educational. Action packed for sports fans, depth of characters to keep you hooked, and expert production for visual appeal. You enter into the world of wheelchair basketball as an onlooker, and end up as a forever fan. Along with competitive sport, you come to know and love the main characters, their families, and their friends. If you are new to the world of adaptive sport, this is a great place to start to gain awareness, and to begin to understand the experiences and lives of players in the NWBA. Highly, highly recommend!!

    Amazing Documentary

This is the film I compare all documentaries to when selecting films for the Vero Beach Film Festival. Rebound is inspiring and heartbreaking. It is much more than a "sports" movie. This is a powerful way to share people's stories with those that often time overlook them or don't give them the opportunities they deserve.

The direction was very strong as the featured characters were very natural discussing their personal situations and relationships on camera candidly. As an audience member, I was rooting for the team's and the individual athletes' success. I felt immersed in their lives.

By the way, you have a seventh festival win. You were a winner at our festival in 2016 as well!!!

    Captivating!

This documentary is one for the history books. I was absolutely captivated from the opening scene of the film. I love how they captured all the raw emotions of the players not only at the games but more within their daily lives. There is this realness in how the director Shaina tells the story of the players, their struggles and how they keep persevering to keep winning and playing the games with all their heart. Before watching this film I never even knew there was a wheelchair basketball division. I love this film and will be watching it with my little daughter when she gets older. Absolute must watch!
