O’Donnell’s The Last Word speech stemmed from a ProPublica report that claimed at least two women have died in Georgia due to state laws that make it a felony to perform what should be routine procedures. “ProPublica is now reporting about the death of a 28-year-old woman in Georgia who died because of what George W. Bush and Donald Trump did to her when they appointed those Supreme Court justices,” O’Donnell said (per TheDailyBeast). The host went on to read the story, which noted that the woman required a procedure called a dilation and curettage (D&c), which removes fetal tissue from her body. Lawrence O’Donnell had The Last Word on Thursday night on MSNBC. The news anchor called out the media, including his network, for covering Donald Trump’s press conference in full and ignoring Kamala Harris.

O’Donnell took to his late-night show to blast the media for not fact-checking Trump, who held a press conference in his Mar-a-Lago home in Florida, saying, “It was 2016 all over again.”

“It would be hard to find a sentence in what Donald Trump said today that did not include at least one lie,” O’Donnell said on his show. “Some of the networks tried to play catch-up with fact-checking after Donald Trump finished speaking but, that of course, is way too late and utterly useless. One of Sergio Leone's most beloved spaghetti westerns is coming to Paramount+ soon. The iconic filmmaker's Once Upon a Time in the West, considered one of the greatest movies ever, hits the service in August.

Directed and co-written by Leone, the legendary western debuted in 1968 with Paramount Pictures credited as one of the production companies that helped bring it to the big screen. Over half a century later, Once Upon a Time in the West will arrive on Paramount+ on August 1, 2024. The original 166-minute director's version of the movie premiered on December 21, 1968, in European territories, where it became a box-office success. Paramount cut Once Upon a Time in the West down to 145 minutes for its subsequent release in the United States on May 28 of the following year to more modest box office takings.

The final season of a fan-favorite CBS military drama series will soon hit Paramount+. Seal Team Season 7 will premiere on the service this August.

The seventh and final season of Seal Team arrives following a lengthy post-sixth season hiatus, partly caused by the Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA strikes in 2023. The long-awaited Seal Team Season 7 will arrive on Paramount+ on August 11, 2024. Paramount+ announced Seal Team's Season 7 renewal on January 18, 2023, and revealed the following November that the installment would be the series' last. Seal Team series lead David Boreanaz recently stated that the final episode, written by Spencer Hudnut and directed by Christopher Chulack, will bear the title "The Last Word."

Netflix has given a greenlight to “Famous Last Words,” a unique documentary series format that features the final major interview from cultural icons. Those subjects secretly film their conversations, which remain untouched and unseen — until they are aired posthumously.

Emmy winner Brad Falchuk will produce the show via his Teley-Vision banner, which has a multi-year deal with Netflix. Banijay Entertainment’s Bsna is also behind the show, along with the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts — where the interviews will be preserved and housed in its library.

Falchuk and Mikkel Bondesen will executive produce with David Goldberg and showrunner David Friedman.

Players of Bungie’s Destiny franchise are no doubt well aware that the long-awaited finale to its epic Light and Darkness Saga arrives in a little over a month. But with dwindling player numbers and an uncertain future, a potential Destiny 3 may be the only hope the series has left.

I’ve previously written about how the franchise’s rigid, increasingly stale content structure slowly drove me away from the games over the course of a decade. Despite a deep love for the series, as it stands, the proposition of leaving once the story wraps up in The Final Shape is all too tempting. But perhaps Destiny 3 can change that.
