Shareek (2015)
The word 'Shareek' may refer to 'sharing' in dictionary but in Punjab it had always been opposite to it. As time flies, one doesn't even notice that how and when the brothers become the enemies of each other. Brothers are brothers and their children become cousins. But for the feudal society of Punjab, the word 'cousins' stands for 'shareeks' and 'shareeks' stand for 'enemies'. Just for the ownership of a piece of a land the cousins would wage a ruthless war between themselves. For centuries, this phenomenon has taken its toll and it has never stopped. The film 'Shareek', with all the emotion, romance, thrill and action, addresses this menace strongly, although in the undercurrent.

    Reverse Gear to 1990's

If you are a person born in late 1980s then u must have watched bunch of movies like this on Doordarshan in 1990s. Who was telling that this movie will be a trend changer. If comedy movies are coming in a bulk quantity then to bring a change there should be a movie with a new concept. There was no new concept just an old story has been covered with new actors and all that stupidity. Yah! we need a change in Punjabi cinema but please! move forward bring some new things not go backwards. People are moving towards moon, mars etc. but our Punjabi cinema is still struggling with the age old fights of Jatts and the fighting was too looking fake with third class action. Can we have a negative rating please! IMDb AWFUL

The Best Punjabi movie ever watched.. Beyond Expectations..

This is the best punjabi movie I have ever watched till date. The story line is just excellent & keeps you bounded every single minute. The way things & people have been linked and correlated is again amazing. There are many suspense scenes that will leave you with some thinking notes. I personally loved it as it is not like other pollywood movies where you already know the next scene and the climax. The climax is a best surprise but will leave you with deeper thoughts and sorrow. Not to miss the great music & lyrics that just steals your heart. This movie has taken the Punjabi Cinema to new heights. Congratulations to the whole team. Jimmy Sheirgill is a delight to watch.

    Very good film

After long time very good punjabi movie came which is shareek. jimmy shergill and the villain has done great piece of acting. very good dialogues and performances. congrats to director. i even liked it morethan angrej i don't know why. may be shareek is better movie than angrej although it couldn't manage the same numbers at box office. it is a must watch for punjabi cinema lovers. nice music and songs too. andgreat moral at the end. that zameen never goes with anyone when they die. the transformation of jimmy shergill character is awesome and villain lines are too good. it is true that Zameen and money is the source of the blackness in the hearts of the people.

I love this film! Jimmy Shergill is magnetic as always. I can't imagine how it would be without him in the film. Great movie, great work, great directing, great acting!
