Great Message and Engaging Story

I like a good heartwarming story, and this one kept my attention throughout. I especially enjoyed the performances of Julia and Marcus.

Faith based films can be challenging to watch at times because the stories seem unfamiliar. There's something about many of them that makes them difficult to relate to. Too far from reality I think.

This one is different in my opinion. It presents real people with real issues and explores faith in an interesting way.

I don't like to be force fed information. I like it when a story unfolds naturally, and I'm able to put the puzzle together piece by piece.

Maybe there is still a lot that we do not know.

Provacative story...

Somewhat amateurish acting but the plot was interesting and curiously inviting. Then again? Very often family dramas always are... And I am partial to "country" settings. David' character simply lacked "punch" while Julia was the persistent "punch" always digging to the "heart" of each and every matter. The father was well played in seeking reconciliation to close out his life. David's adopted brother was unfortunately, the weakest character. All this said? The family dynamic was unusual yet interesting and I felt David came full circle with his family "truthS" so to speak. Good effort; worthy story.

Into each life some rain must fall

I'm doubting you'll know any of the cast members of He Sends Rain which I'm sure is doing well on the Christian church circuit, but few other places. It's a story about a man long estranged from his father who is summoned back to his boyhood home to be with his dying father.

There's a surprise waiting for him. Dad's adopted another kid who is about 14 and been through the foster care system. The kid will go back there if our protagonist and his wife don't take him in.

I'm sure that as the film unfolds you'll guess what the story behind the story is long before the climax. The religious aspect is somewhat subdued, but the players are truly uninspiring.

This one won't be making it out of church basements.
