Whilst I like both Randeep hooda and kajal agarwal as actors, This movie is a shameless copy of one of my favorite korean movie "Always". Its a shame. Shame on bollywood. Atleast if you cant write the original, take a copyright, do not steal it. I have nothing else to say, just shame, shame.
Rocky Bollywood version but its bad.
Its definitely an action drama movie and it is balanced rather well.
The direction is good. Kajals acting was substandard, blind girl role is pretty hard to do and she haven't succeeded.
Randeep on the other hand was the pillar of the movie, he did his role perfectly.
Talking about the story, its pretty bad,u might want to skip to the end.
The ending was really refreshing rest pretty bad.
Overall average
Do not listen to the comments just go for it if you enjoy love story movies. The acting is superb i really do not why this guy is not in award list.
For those who says it is a copy i will say there are movies like Badla which lead the role by Amitabh Bachan is also a copy like most hindi movies.
A unique story of love... Shows how far a person can go just to prove how much he loves someone
Nevermind the critics i really loved this movie and the story... Something different and touching
And loved the chemistry between randeep and kajol
Some Actors are so good, that they rise above a mediocre & uneven film. Randeep Hooda is among them. Honda's marvelous on-screen commitment shines over 'Do Lafzon Ki Kahani', a film that desperately wants you to be touched by it, but barely leaves any mark, despite a few charming moments. Director Deepak Tijori delivers an average romantic-drama, at best!
'Do Lafzon Ki Kahani' is Centered on ex-mixed martial arts artist Sooraj (Randeep Hooda) and a blind sculptor artist Jenny (Kajal Aggarwal). Their fate intertwines when their past are revealed in their blooming relationship.
'Do Lafzon Ki Kahani', which is a remake of the 2011 Korean movie Always, has its heart at the right place & to be honest, the first-hour has a charm to it. The interactions between the leading man & women, are cute. But, a melodramatic second-hour, that also throws in a few twists & turns, fumbles. What starts out as a story on true-love & redemption, suddenly becomes a story on guilt & gut-wrenching sacrifices. The final act, especially, is clumsy.
Girish Dhamija's Adapted Screenplay has heart, but it never touches you the way one might expect. As mentioned earlier, the first-hour works with some charm, but the second-hour doesn't deliver due to unwanted melodrama. Deepak Tijori's Direction is decent & I'm sure 'Do Lafzon Ki Kahani' is his most watchable film to date. Cinematography nicely captures the exotic locales of Malaysia. Editing needed to be sharper. Music by Various Artists is wonderful & among the film's biggest pluses.
Performance-Wise: Its Hooda all the way. He's the life & soul of the show. He enacts the guilt-driven protagonist with remarkable commitment. Kajal Aggarwal is sincere in her portrayal of the blind girl. The on-screen chemistry between Hooda & Aggarwal, is good. Of the supporting cast, Mamik Singh & Anil George leave a mark.
On the whole, 'Do Lafzon Ki Kahani' Rises On The Strength Of Randeep Hooda's Marvelous Performance!
