Inconsequential

The film shows brotherly love in a functional family. We saw a load of horseplay between Stor-Filip, his best mate, and Sebastian that sometimes included little Filip. But there was one thing the younger brother couldn't share, the hidden relationship between the two older boys. Its discovery by the younger Filip was obviously a shock and took some digesting. Watching homophobic abuse between young kids was also disturbing to him.

He processed the events and came through to his brother again with unconditional love. It was the unspoken action at the end that impressed me. A final acceptance. Nothing too profound here but a nice story.

It is almost surprising for the gentle manner to use a delicate subject. Fair in details, good crafted scene by scene, delicate and clear, it is the story of young Filip, his discover about Sebastian, his brother, and it gives the decent end who, maybe, far to be impressive, it is a reasonable one. The simple problem remains the discover of Filip and the conflict on play ground who go to noway. Off course, the basic good point remains the performance of Josef Waldfogel.
