This was recommended to me by family in Russia and Russian friends... I'm a big fan of Aleksandr Pal, so I figured what the heck?

WOW was this wonderful. You don't know where it's going, but it's not annoyingly choppy, it draws you in and you fall in love with it.

The characters are fun - Aleksandr Pal as Kolya is absolutely SUPERB - and really make this a special film. Aleksandr Ilin as Uncle Vasja has you guessing... Kristina Kazinskaya never fails to be awesome.

Again, don't expect to know where this is going - it has you really trying to figure it out 'til the end. And WHAT an ending. Beautifully Slavic film - you've got tears in your eyes but you're happier than happy.

I won't give spoilers - I do, however, URGE people to watch this wonderful unsung gem of a movie. I'm smitten.

Eastern Europe doesn't have Halloween tradition really the way North America has, but this film would make a great Halloween movie!

Some very strange and spooky things keep happening in the cemetery. The watchmen keep quitting and disappearing until a new candidate takes the job. It is Kolya, who is desperate to keep the job that he obtained by family connections. Through his resourcefulness and ingenuity he is much more successful than his predecessors. But it is not easy to deal with supernatural forces... it is a great and heartwarming story, and it is really funny too. I really recommend!!!
