Firstly the story is great. I love it and it's current and valid, however the screenplay lets it down with poor dialogue and weak plot points although the decent pace helps out a lot.
The acting is like a pendulum: Burfitt and Gipson are sometimes excellent, and sometimes flat, and I blame that not on them but what i think is probably poor and inconsistent directing.
The twist at the end is great. You know one is coming but you can't know what it is and it's a good one and well written into the story. It's probably the best written and directed part.
It was very gratifying to see they resisted the temptation for lots of gratuitous nudity and sex. Nicely done. All in all a very enjoyable film.
Gave up watching this, it's hot garbage. Really, it adds nothing to the genre...
Technically awful, corny, derivative and boring.
The director should be shot, failing that put in a one man dinghy and cast adrift in the ocean so he get get near cinema again!

The Wyatt girl seems lost maybe the role was too much for her . Her face is flat cant show emotion she does need some more practice although they have been doing out films I must say emphasis must be placed on ensuring lead actors are dominant and fit for their role.
''Hold on a minute--don't get up yet and leave.''
This thought seeped in after the first 5 minutes was endured.
''Give it a chance, man ''
But no, became apparent this flick was a fail. '' CLICK OFF ''
C- list actor described in the summary was in fact a bad B list actor in reality. The male antagonist, worse, hey! he might have been C- listed though.
Where the feeling of being 'gripped' was derived from, know not.
My interest was never piqued - the bored disappointment at every scene took me over and turned me off.

By Any Means, was entertaining from beginning until the end. I didn't see the twist coming but it was very satisfying for a viewer. The film has a great cast, the acting is strong, and it is very well realized especially considering the budget. You can imagine something like this movie happening in real life. It is worth the watch without a doubt. Why not watch and try and see if you can guess what happens in the end!

- TriviaThe film achieved a degree of notoriety following the real life abduction of 20-year-old British glamour model Chloe Ayling in July 2017 in Milan, Italy. 30-year-old UK-based Polish national Lukasz Herba was convicted of kidnapping Ayling in an Italian court on 11 June 2018 and in his closing statement said he was inspired by the film. A number of aspects of the case mirrored the plot of the film.
