This game used to be more fun when it first came out, but now it seems to get more glitch every time I play it. It also doesn't help that there are mostly overpowered players currently, so escaping it very close to impossible. You just have to get lucky with a new or bad Jason player. I hope they fix the glitches that make it unplayable in the upcoming update. (That should have been April 13th, 2018 or they should have at least added something small instead we got nothing)
There's not much to this online survival game. While it does has its moments, the lack of story or gameplay elements makes the game quite stale after a few lobbies. My brother and I had some great moments running away terrified from Jason, or hacking people to death, but I can't say we spent more than 30 mins at a time on it before getting bored and switching it off. Wish they would have done something different with a Friday the 13th video game; missed opportunity.
Edit: Decided to check out this game a little bit more since I seen the servers were closing down in December 2024. Now, when I first left my review, I haven't played the game in years, and honestly, I wasn't fond of multiplayer-only games especially if it doesn't have any story and is just pvp based. Nowadays, I'm a little more lenient in those genres of games since I found that games don't always need a plot to be fun and enjoyable, but I do need some substance for the game to be worth playing. Now, coming back to this, the multiplayer aspects is pretty straightforward, as in a lobby, you have up to 7 people who play as counselors and 1 person plays as Jason. I think the biggest problem with this game is that because the game is so old and straightforward, everyone that still plays already knows exactly what to do, and for me, was a little frustrating trying to get away from Jason when the person playing Jason has thousands of hours logged in the game and just plays the game to either grief or just troll. Idk after I'd say 20 rounds, I started getting the hang of it, and started enjoying it little by little, I even was able to kill Jason finally and get a few achievements, but sadly , the game is no more, as the servers have officially shut down. I was sad as I was planning on getting a couple more of the achievements, but I was just too busy and didn't have the time. In all, I had fun with this game, and appreciate what it was. Personally I would have rather had a story based Jason game, but this was good enough to warrant the hours spent.

Great gameplay let down by bad servers but it can be very scary when you are in a cabin with Jason which is what we want in a game like this. Not for kids as the gore is an easy 10/10 and quite brutal. And if you have a full lobby of friends I am going to say that this is the most fun game you will ever play.
Just like Destiny, the same levels, same objectives and the same bulls***. It was fun the first week but with all the server problems I got sick of it pretty fast. First off I want to touch on a request I saw made to disable friendly fire... don't be stupid, just cause you thought you could tag along with the group and if you get a seat first your in, that's not the way it works and you can bet I'll smack the wax outta your ears. Secondly, it's way to hard to stand up to Jason,it shouldn't be such a task to kill him. I say the game is terrible unless you like doing the same thing over and over again.
A very interesting online survival horror, which had enormous potential and (personally, subjective opinion) was better than the same Dead By Daylight!
After all, the game has many more ways to win for both the victim and the maniac! But because of these copyrights, it's quickly lost online, because the developers were blocked from accessing the game, and it became empty for the rest of the time...
The game was hacked on the PC and it finally died, but it's free on PlayStation and still keeps some online She left a lot of emotions and warm memories for me and is one of my favorites, despite everything.
Actually, try to play (if you have a playstation), it's still quite interesting.
Thanks to this game, I became a fan of the entire franchise. I can't rate it's objectively. Just my ex-love...
My rating : 10/10 (legendary game and good personal impact for me)
