OK, so I have a young child who loves the animated films (as do I)... She fell asleep today after about 5 minutes of this pilot episode (clearly worn out today). I however continued to watch, finding myself literally gripped. To my annoyance there hasn't been any more episodes released (yet) my kid .... OK I'll have to watch this again so my child can see it. Very good story line and animation. A few adult jokes inserted into the series similar to Pixar and others and it'll be a great hit! Stick to the same style and length. Maybe a better theme tune, something fun and catchy. Otherwise... 10-/10. From an adult and his inner child .
I can not understand why this cartoon was not picked up in a heart beat. It is one of the better thought out, quality animated kids shows out there. At first I thought it was a money issue where it costs just too much to make an episode of this quality of a cartoon, but something seems to be missing. Since 2002 and this show has not made any headway? It seems like the show is being held back on alt purpose.
I am convinced there is a agenda in children's programs that is purposely manipulated to only broadcast shows that fit a certain mold. It is not only about the money or the ratings. Money is evil and ratings lie. We all know that by now. But more than that, this show definitely did not fit someone's plan for what children should watch and get exposure to.
It had a good plot line, great animation, the characters were not annoying or just stupidly loud and obnoxious like 90% of the shows on Cartoon Network. I mean this is a show where EVERYONE that I have recommended to say is so much better than anything their children are currently watching. Yet it does not get picked up. Hmm...interesting.

My grandchildren check each time they come over to see if another episode of Lost in Oz has come out. We loved it! (Yes, even me- grandma) We are really hoping to see this become a series! It has been so disappointing to see so many animated series coming out now having sexual innuendos. Lost in Oz showed no evidence of that whatsoever. Our grand daughters were able to relate to a curious little girl with a good heart. I think it is very sad to see so many people with a gift for making children's shows use that gift in such a sexually explicit way. So many of the animated young ladies on these shows are clothed so tacky. Sadly, children so often do desire to imitate what they see. We keep watching the same Lost in Oz pilot over and over again. :) I guess we will continue to do that until the next episode comes out.
Watched the first episode and found it enchanting. However, wheat is still king in Kansas. Corn is grown more in Nebraska, Iowa, and Illinois. The episode gives a new twist to this old story. I thought it was cute. It is worth watching.
I watched because I work in the flour milling industry, and I love Kansas! I eventually want to build a model railroad and name the town Emerald, Kansas. Frequently visited by notable historic and fictional Kansas characters.

Absolutely loved this pilot - Hoping to see rest of series!
There are so many horrible animated series on the market nowadays with horrible story, vocabulary, bad ideas, weak characters, broken attitude, even the animation is bad, and our poor kids think it's OK to have fun watching such movies (typcal modern cartoon: bombs, wars, explosions, body parts flying, tons of violence, sexual innuendos, tiny or semi-transparent dresses) it's horrible what we expose our kids to – WELL THIS ONE IS FINALLY DIFFERENT!
Now 'Lost in Oz' has high quality content, good language and nice phrases to pick up, it's calm, gentle, characters nicely designed and dressed and so on. From the first minute of watching it I knew it's a great plot, movie and was happy to see some quality series coming out on the market we really deserved it.
Then, yes we parents usually have to watch it to, either to discuss it with kids, maybe before going to sleep talk and foresee what could happen in next episode, or just accompany them.
I love animation, true colors (HDR alike) and everything. It's a kid's movie that kids should follow as an example, nothing below this is accepted for my kids and family It's same class as a high budget Disney movie. Totally respect and love the idea.
Are there any release dates for other episodes??
