The third installment of Indra Kumar's sex comedy franchise is nowhere near the zenith that it should have reached by now, considering the perverted times we live in. It has only degraded with time.
Amar (Deshmukh), Meet (Oberoi), and Prem (Shivdasani) are three sex- craving husbands of equally sex-craving and seductive "housewives". However, the couples are apparently unable to get on with it due to some ridiculous reasons. So, the male trio go out of their way to Amar's ancestral mansion in the countryside to have some adult fun. To their surprise, they bump into Ragini (Rautela), a bombshell of a ghost who, for their luck and goodness, wants to have sex with them for some more ridiculous reasons. In between this narrative is where one will find deadpan jokes and slapstick about sex, vulgarity, sex, women, sex, male reproductive organs, sex, and other similar topics.
Masti (2004) was an honestly funny yet average movie, but more than a decade later, Great Grand Masti does not appeal, let only amuse. The characters look like they were written by naughty fourty-four-year olds. The humor, which is supposed to be an important aspect of a film like this, does not even scramble. Lots of cleavages, redundant one-liners, and sexist jokes are all that you'll find in this cacophony of idiotic elements.
BOTTOM LINE: Great Grand Masti offers neither of the adjectives that it has appended in its title. It's just a very bad adult film made by a film student who himself is obsessed with sex. Not even worth watching the TV premiere (if at all that happens).
Can be watched with a typical Indian family? NO

Director Mr. Inder Kumar work is good. He has never crossed the premise of film. Even use of CG goes well with the concept. The ghost face is distorted at a limit so she could look ghost but not ugly. The way steel glass size increases it enhances the feel which it was meant to. Story by Tushar Hiranandani, offers something new. In the era of internet it is very difficult to come with any fresh humor. Every good humor circulates at electric speed that it gets stale in few days only. Screenplay and dialogues by Akash Kaushik and Madhur Sharma, offer something fresh and humorous, like the scene when Prem assumes that snake has bitten his butt. This chunk is very good. Even watermelon coming out from the Baba adds the humor. The temple bell sound from their waist lock tickles you. Film evokes laughter without being too vulgar. Dialogues go with the character and mood of scene. Every character is well conceived even the guest appearance of Babu Rangeela. Film starts on good note but then becomes slow and lame after half an hour and maintains this till half an hour of interval but then it takes pace and definitely maintains its average speed. Even in climax it comes with a slight pinch of emotions as Karwa Chauth angle and again laughter takes over. Climax fight with ghost is also funny and resolution is very good. Any comedy could not survive without good performance which this flick has in good amount. Performance wise Riteish Deshmukh is just adorable. His comic timing and expressions are too good. Surprisingly Vivek Oberoi and Aftab Shivdasani are very good. Urvashi Rautela as ghost is good. Her walk and attitude go well with her character. Rest female cast is just OK. Sanjay Mishra as Baba Antakshri is fine. Shreyas Talpade as Babu Rangeela is quite good. Music wise Resham Ka Roomal is foot tapping. Credit goes to Music director Shaarib- Toshi and lyricist Manoj Yadav.
Great Grand Masti is the third movie in the Masti series and I must say it is the best so far. However I am certainly not suggesting that the first two movies were not as good; they were well portrayed in their own ways.
Throughout the movie there are sex related jokes and they are not vulgar or offensive in any way, in fact, they were rather funny and you can relate to them in some ways. In some parts of the movie as an audience you question "why is this happening?" or "was this necessary?" but then you're like, "oh...i get it now!". Therefore the audience is intrigued and hooked to the jokes.
I split the movie in three parts; the introduction to their personal life, their journey to the haunted mansion and the battle between the families and the ghost. the introduction was exceptionally funny and all three of the actors -Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani, Riteish Deshmukh- did an amazing job in portraying the characters and the comic timing was fabulous.
The introduction to the ghost was pretty funny too as well as the guest appearance of Shreyas Talpade. The wives were okay as well, however they did not play a massive part in the movie in addition to the mother in law and the Baba.
The ending was quite unexpected, though very eventful.
Personally I would highly recommend for you to watch the movie in the cinemas with your friends as you can have a laugh and a great time.
