Beeb Hartley is the newest IT employee at the Starship Icarus. After years of living in cryo-sleep, Beeb gets to meet the his new eccentric employees while trying to avoid being murdered by an alien robot monster.

The e-mail comes back on line and everyone is excited to get some except for Beeb who can't log in. When he does he discovers the theory of time dilation has changed his whole world. Since the ship time, at the speed of light slows down, everyone on earth in normal time has moved on with their lives.

Beeb has problems trying to use the replicator to buy a gift. When the onboard computer starts acting irrationally, just like a human, Cody tries a hard restart, and only manages to give it a Spanish voice. Meanwhile Beeb makes a play for A-va.

Beeb and Ava decide to take their relationship to the next level. Also everyone died and now they're all clones of their past selves.
