Saw this on a dvd. The trailer was amazing n the film a solid action packed entertainment.
The plot is from the 80's. This is the director's first film as a director. Most of the Steven Seagal's 90's film's were produced by this director. So obviously a lottuva cliches n of course the one man take down the whole nasty business.
This film has plenty of hand fights, gun shot sequences n some amazing sword fight too. Basically a yakuza film without the katana n tattoos would look fugazi.
The male lead lacked the muscles n was a bit unconvincing cos the film never showed how he learnt sword fighting or hand combat.
I found the actress Dawn Olivieri attractive. Will be watching Traffik only cos of her.

I don't understand what people want... always exciting stories, everything unpredictable, extraordinary actors and director... what about catering? You're ridiculous! Your score is 1/10? Who are you? The perfectionist? The eternal unsatisfied? The latter of course... nothing can satisfy you... of course not this movie that is totally far from the perfection. I enjoyed it, I like martial art, I like action, I felt satisfied after watching this movie. No, you're wrong... I'm not in the movie, I don't even know where it has been shot... I just accept what I get... today a simple salad, tomorrow smoked salmon, after tomorrow a lobster... I can enjoy all the three, but you can't, sorry for you. Of course there are some goofs, of course there are deja vues, what are you looking for? Every movie should be a colossal, 10 Oscar winner, no flaw, no imperfection... stay on the ground man... you're only a human being, not a Divine being.
Stop comparing a movie with another one, it makes no sense... it's like comparing a person with another one... they are different, totally even if they look like similar.
John Wick, Kill Bill? They are different and everything is different, actors, director, cameramen, everything and even the stories.
For those who are more tolerant and can enjoy even simple things... if you like action, martial arts, a simple story, good acting and directing and you are not impressed by seeing blood and people killed (not few indeed), then this movie is for you...

A young boy, nicknamed Darc, witnesses his mother murdered by a Yakuza boss. Several years later and the boy is a man, and has just been released from jail. An Interpol agent organised his early release: he wants Darc to find his daughter who has been kidnapped by the same Yakuza boss. Darc now has two reasons to hunt the man down...
Mediocre. The movie had the potential to a good, gritty action-drama but misses the mark in so many respects. The plot is pretty basic, full of holes and incredibly contrived. Nothing really makes sense, except that the plot is set up to maximise the number of action scenes. Heaps of shoot-em-ups and beat-em-ups just for the hell of it, just jammed in for no rhyme or reason.
Lead performance is woeful. Nothing wrong with strong, silent types as the lead character but Tony Schiena overdoes the silent part, to the point of irritation. Quite unconvincing whenever dialogue or actual acting was required - I guess he was just there for the action scenes.
It's not all bad though. The action scenes are done well and there is a momentum and intrigue to the movie that keeps it interesting. I guess there had to be - if you had a chance to think you'd realise just how dumb the plot is...

...then I'd recommend you to watch this one, too. It's like John Wick on a budget, but not a really tight one, just on a budget. The lead actor will surprise you, I never saw him perform before and was expecting a cardboard cutout, Disney attraction animatronic quality perfomance, but ended up nailing everything perfectly. Famous actor Armand Assante also pulls a great performance despite the fact that he doesn't have a lot of screen time. The rest of the cast seem to have done what they were requested just as well, too.
Down-to-earth action sequences without ballet-alike martial art choreographies or 10-minute long duels, isn't shy with blood & gore whenever they should be there, gritty script-called events, and barely no time, if any at all, wasted on useless, boring, car chases.
Simple plot, but well carried. Pacing is good.
Bottom line, this movie aims to entertain and hits the bullseye. If you're into action movies, this one's for you hands down.

It seems that director Julius R. Nasso picked up a few things from his days producing Steven Seagal movies, because in his directorial debut - this particular movie - the level of brutality is extraordinarily high. If you want to see scene after scene of people punched, kicked, shot, and stabbed, then you will really like this movie. The violence may not be directed with a lot of style or careful choreography, but you'll definitely feel every blow and wound. And thanks to a slightly higher than usual budget for a direct to video movie, Nasso does manage to make the movie look fairly sick and expensive. If you care about other things such as good writing, however, you'll probably be disappointed. The main plot unfolds pretty slowly, and the various plot turns you'll probably be able to guess long before they happen. And the characters are nothing memorable; the title character, for one thing, comes across as a slightly dim-witted thug that you won't particularly care about. But for some people, the cinematic sight of people over and over getting brutalized will help them let off some steam and be entertaining for 90 or so minutes. You know who you are, so if you're one of those particular people, press play and enjoy.
Terrible story. Terrible acting. Terrible sound effects that haven't been cool since 1980 (there was even a very poorly placed wilhelm scream). The main character has the charisma of a plastic teaspoon. The fight sequences were unrealistic. The entire movie is a waste of time. Time that I'll never get back. Time that I recommend you use to watch a different movie.

Darc a relative unknown action movie that comes out in 2018 but looks like something Dolph Lungren would do back in the 80s is a cheesy, funny and bloody action movie that unironically better than most old school throwback action movie nowadays when it got the main character that can pull off a good fight without looking fake and a bunch of good supporting characters that elevate the movie out of the "so bad its good" category. The action scenes can get a little choppy at the time but still end with a satisfied result so I highly recommend this movie to low budget action movie fan

Great movie for the genre.
DARC is an interesting character, I wish they evolved it a bit better.
But overall the action scenes where amazingly shot. Warning, this is not a movie with a happy ending. True rating is a 6/10 for the genre, then again, what's a 7 or 8 or 9 or even a 10 anymore these days?
If you like Martial Arts, sword play, Yakuza, then you should enjoy this.

Ignore the positive reviews written here by people who very likely worked on the movie. I listened to them and wasted 90 minutes of my life.
The action is okay. The stunts were well done and there's at least one memorable fight. But the lead actor Tony Sheena has the charisma and acting prowess of a pork chop. I can see why everyone in the movie wanted to punch him in the face. He looks like a date rapist. I'm not saying he IS a date rapist... but he's exactly what you'd picture a date rapist to look like. Y'know what, let's just say he is one. That's probably accurate.
Armand Assante is in this movie, which is surprising because I thought he was dead. Judging by his performance, I'm not convinced he isn't.
The pork chop wrote this movie too, which explains almost everything. Except the plot of the movie. That's still a mystery. Something about people being upset that he keeps date raping people, maybe? I'm not sure.
The women in this movie were wasted. They could have been far more interesting if they weren't just eye candy and props for the male actors. No one should ever let Julian Nasso direct another movie.
The money spent on this trainwreck could have gone to feeding the homeless. Or acting classes for the date rapist. Or more clothes for those poor exploited girls on set. Anything but this.

Enough action to keep my wife from falling asleep. We both liked Tony Schiena. He's been a bit of an action hero in real life it seems. We'd like to see him in something with a bit more going on. Nothing new it the plot, but again, enough action to satisfy. My one question is regarding the end of the movie. Why would you apply CPR to someone who attempted hari kari?
While not the best movie of its kind, it really is well done. The action is gripping and the stunts are good. So it is very violent (shouldn't come as a surprise, but pointing it out in case some are not up for this) and has a lot of shootouts. The main actor/character is a bit bland, which may or may not work in the movies favor.
Depending on the viewer that may vary. You have an anti hero in the lead, someone who is morally ambigious. Not that many will be surprised by the twists or anything, but it's really decent if you are into those kind of thrillers. Otherwise better stay away from the movie.

Another cliche movie, extra predictable with no excitement at all. Acting was good never the less, producing and directing were decent but the storyline is the same boring thing everyone has seen. Ending was like the producers and directors had enough and they were like "Oh you know lets just go home, so what if the movie is unfinished". Movie is bearable, enjoyable sometimes but if you have anything better to do with those 97 minutes, do it!
The first scene of the main character reminded me of 300 Spartan King, Gerard Butler. It started off a lil easy and getting all heavy in the middle till the end, plus a twisted ending. Its hard to guess who would survive and who would not and the one I guessed could survive died horribly and it was sad.
There is something a bit off about the movie that gives a hint of a cheap production, like a fast fist fight actions that look like they skipped a few frames. But as a martial arts lover I do enjoy the fights. The sound effect on the other hand is cool and I can still recall the high pitch harmonized female voice at almost every thrill moments.
Overall, it was a good watch.

The characters the actions everything is on the wrong place it doesn't make any sense and even the main idea of the super hero guy this's too much time wasted
Good action movie. Story is usual as revenge by boy whose mother was killed by the boss of human trafficking business. Revenge taker is young boy, Darc. Best thing about this movie is presentation. Start to finish story has not a single moment of boring. You will quietly attached with on whole 97 minutes. Plot is going straight. Must watch.

From the beginning it draws you in. It has a great plot and plenty of action which was what I was after. You can however tell that it was done on the cheap but regardless they have done a good job at making it something great. The ending was different and leaves you wanting more.

I read the reviews, and I was like no way. It can't be that bad. It was that bad. I really liked The Outsider with Jared Leto. This was not that movie. I don't know where to begin, so I'm not.
WATCH A DIFFERENT MOVIE.

This film is somewhere between Eastern promises and John wick 1/2

Tough but stereotypical thriller that wallows in the sleaze and violence of strip clubs and the Yakuza. Tony Schiena is a con released early from prison so that he can find desperate cop Armand Assante's daughter, who has been kidnapped by the same Yakuza gang that killed Schiena's mum twenty-odd years earlier. It's not the worst of its kind, but it's quickly forgotten.
