    Awful, awful, anything but friendly!

    This movie was horrible!

-Lots of exposition, exposition, rush it out ASAP! -With a 70-minute runtime, there's just not enough time to introduce an entire second school and still have time to give the Wondercolts spotlight. -Terrible "villains". With the exception of Midnight Sparkle (who's only on the screen for around two minutes), they do not have the coolness factor that other MLP villains and most Disney villains have. In fact, Cinch's plan to use Sci-Twi in the Friendship Games backfires so epically it almost gets the world destroyed. -The Friendship Games put untrained students in mortal peril. Motocross and archery have a high risk of injury, if not death. Plus no one bats an eye when the giant Piranha Plant attacks the stadium. -Dean Cadence is UGLY! -The HuMane 5 are still as flanderized as ever! Thank Celestia the 2017 movie won't be Equestria Girls-related, as the true Mane 7 had an entire show to be fleshed out. -Shining Armor has no more than two lines, and never shows up again. What a wasted character! -The final battle lasts only a few seconds. -Just Eat Gilligan: Twilight, why are you keeping that magic-stealing pendant around when it's clearly hurting people! Without it, you could have avoided this plot. NO ONE in your school has no idea how magic works. Is it any surprise that it goes out of control and almost destroys the world? -The Shadowbolts are one-dimensional and can be summed up in a single small sentence each: an ostentatious athletic girl, a brutally honest girl, a sarcastically nice but really passive aggressive girl, a girl who's really passionate about music and sort of outgoing if you could call it that, and then another one I don't even remember. You should be able to know who's called Sugarcoat and who's called Sour Sweet. That's how memorable they are. -Please get smarter about raising the stakes. -Very slow movie.

Avoid this movie. Watch Finding Dory instead. (It climaxes better than the entire FG movie.)

Probably one of the best things to come out of MLP Period

With the mixed reactions of the the 1st movie, and the more positive ones that came from Rainbow Rocks, I was hoping this movie wouldn't botch up the progress its previous entry made. I could not have be ever so wrong. Sure it does not star the Dazzlings, and the music is not completely like the last one, but I still think it manages to knock all the other entries out of the park. Now that Sunset is out lead role, we get to see even more amazing development from her, that, like Princess Twilight, she is still learning how to not only be a leader, but be a good friend. And Crystal Prep as the villains really do make quite a glaring contrast from our mane 6. And yet, though there is no battle of the bands this time around, the music is just as good and perhaps better than before. I whole heartedly recommend that every fan of MLP needs to watch this, not before the other ones of course.

    Too many Twilights

The stinger for the last movie set up this sequel as it showed what was going on with the Twilight from their own dimension. What's interesting about this film is that we're introduced to this new Twilight and it does feel like we're meeting the same character, but in a different way. It didn't go in anyway how I thought it would be. I assumed it would just be the same as them meeting the Twilight from the Equestria dimension. Only very briefly do we see any ponies in this movie at all. The animation is as wonderful as ever.

Yes, I do believe this to be better than "My Little Pony: The Movie". The best part is easily the climax and how strong the emotions are. It's weird to describe the villain in this movie because there really quite isn't one. It's mostly just misunderstood people and that really makes for a better plot. It can get boring, but it's still a rewarding movie. I'm proud to have ended TV Month and now I can do my next theme month...Channel Awesome Month to celebrate the website's tenth anniversary! ***

    Fun, Magic, Adventure!

After two series consisting of seven seasons, almost 200 episodes and two movies, people might think the series is getting old. But, I think it is not even half way over. The third installment in My Little Pony: Equestrian Girls does not disappoint My Little Pony fans of all ages.

This movie is an adventure about the main characters. However, with most My Little Pony titles, friendship is a magic related thing. There is also a good amount of silly humor that viewers can enjoy and a small dose of drama which makes it more entertaining.

The story follows Twilight Sparkle, the only pony who seems to be able to go between the human and pony world. She hasn't been in contact with any of her human friends and one day she arrives there. However, it isn't the Twilight they know. Additionally, the six friends are starting to get better control of their hidden magic powers which they need to learn to control for the friendship games (an athletic and academic competition between rivalry schools). If you would like to find out what happens, you have to watch the movie or read the book.

This film continues developing the positive reputation for the My Little Pony Friendship is Magic movies. The story is exciting, with many twists, and you still learn an important message. For this film, there are many. One of them is that, when help comes, accept it. The animation looks very tidy and, even though this is 2D animated, they are very creative with adding some 3D camera shots. The voice talent for Ashleigh Ball, Apple Jack and Rainbow Dash are spot on. Tara Strong who plays Twilight Sparkle makes us love the character, hate her and pity her all at the same time. The rest of the cast are also great at projecting the emotion of their characters. For example, in one scene with Applejack, she is helping her competition with archery and you don't hear pity in her voice, you hear a kind, friendly tone, which Ashleigh Ball is so known for.

My favorite scene is when two of the main characters are fighting the enemy high school on a dirt bike course. It includes my favorite character, Rainbow Dash and another main character, Fluttershy. The race goes well at first. However when the other Twilight Sparkle accidentally releases some strange magic, the race goes haywire. There is something you should be aware of. You don't need to follow the TV show that the film is based on in order to understand the storyline of the film. However, it is probably best if you watch the first movie, My Little Pony: Equestrian Girls, in order to understand this story.

Age rating is surprising for My Little Pony. A lot of people think this show is meant for 2 to 6-year-olds. But really, it is suitable for older kids and event adults. Many of this show's fans (including me) are 12 years old and older so, I recommend this for ages 2 to 18 and adults as well. Small children will enjoy the fun, bright, colors and the funny characters. But, older kids and adults enjoy the show as a fans. I give this film 5 out of 5 stars because it entertains people while teaching important messages.

Comming from AppleTV+ this is low quality in every way

I understand AppleTV+ is the highest of the high with 4K HDR 60fps with Dolby Atmos surround sound, so I'm comparing this to other non AppleTV+ films, but the frame rate is way too low, it feels like 24fps, maybe it is, it makes me feel sick because of this and the fact the character's motion is really off, other things about the film are great but not enough to get it above a solid 6.

    • Quotes

Principal Abacus Cinch: Principal Celestia, on behalf of Crystal Prep, I demand the you forfeit The Friendship Games! Clearly CHS has had an unfair advantage for quite some time, and it's certain your own students have been using magic for their own benefit!

Principal Celestia: I'd like to think that saving the world benefits us all.

Sugarcoat: [at a fast pace] At least they didn't manipulate Twilight into releasing all the stolen magic and turning into a power-crazed magical creature that tried to rip the world apart just to win a game.

Pinkie Pie: Wow, that's a lot to take in when you say it all at once.

      Principal Abacus Cinch: That's ridiculous!

Spike the Dog: Nope, that's pretty much what happened.

    • Crazy credits
In a pre-credits scene, Twilight and the Rainbooms enjoy a picnic by the Wondercolts statue when the Twilight from Equestria suddenly emerges from the portal. She hastily apologizes to Sunset for her late reply to her messages. Suddenly, she notices that her human friends are joined by a girl who resembles her but wears glasses. The human Twilight only meekly waves "hello", as Princess Twilight stares in shock and confusion.
