    the frame

The story of Black Propaganda radio has, in this case, the imspired status of frame for Bonhoeffer story. The perspective is provocative and the travel across events more powerful.

A film about opposition against evil, prudence for protect the sensitivity of an ally and a pastor convinced by his mission, accepting to help his contry in precise manner .

A remind and a good opportunity to find new nuances to a story presumed so familiar.

A beautiful docu-drama, for intervention, for pirate radio and impact of its emission and for remind of the importance of values.

In short, honest , in deep manner .

Excellent Portrait of the German Resistance

As a long-time fan of Dietrich Bonhoeffer and his life story, I found this film, a mix of reenactment and documentary, to be quite accurate in its depiction of the real German resistance. Bonhoeffer and the other noble resistors of the Nazi regime stood their ground against the evil of Nazism, and when Hitler found some documents that showed what he had been doing, he couldn't bear it and ordered these people "liquidated." If you're looking for Oscar-winning acting, you won't find that, but that's not the point of the film. The point is what they were doing for the German people, trying to resist and even assassinate Hitler. Focus on the story, that is where the treasure is found in this well done film.

    An interesting and intriguing film

This documentary film, with re-enactments, educated me in an episode of WW2 I didn't realise existed. We learn about a black propaganda radio operation based in England that broadcasts deliberately confusing messages to German soldiers containing anti-Hitler sentiments, coded messages via music tracks, and the participation of a German speaking actress Agnes Bernelle who provides a key voice in the broadcasts, and future James Bond writer Ian Fleming as part of the broadcast team. German theologian Deitrich Bonhoeffer features as a Pastor who is a known anti-Nazi sympathiser who goes to his death in a German camp. It is a worthwhile piece that is educational and a useful tool for teaching history.
