Taiwan’s Golden Horse Film Project Promotion (Fpp) has unveiled a selection of 63 titles for its 2024 project market from directors including Kiwi Chow and Hsieh Pei-ju and producers such as Fran Borgia and Sylvia Chang.

‘The Daniels’ became the third directing duo ever to win, reports ‘Variety’.

Studio Ramsay Global, the production company founded by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay and Fox, has made its first key executive hire.

Cyrus Farrokh, former distribution chief at Ben Silverman and Howard T. Owens’ Propagate, joins as SVP Strategy.

He will lead the production company’s U.S. operations, business development and global growth strategy and will be based in L.A.

Exclusive: Emmy Award-winning director and producer Ben Simms has signed with WME.

Simms’s experience behind the camera spans a number of unscripted and interactive projects.

Most recently, he earned an Emmy Award (Outstanding Interactive Media for a Daytime Program) for his work directing and producing Netflix’s interactive program You vs. Wild: Out Cold. The project, which premiered in 2021, consists of a high-stakes choose-your-own-adventure story that takes viewers along with Bear Grylls after a plane crash causes him to lose his memory.

Simms also directed and executive produced WWE and Netflix’s interactive special Escape the Undertaker, which also premiered last year.

“Running Wild with Bear Grylls” producer-distributor Propagate Content has struck a first-look deal with Munch-headquartered Constantin Entertainment for entertainment titles.

Under the deal, the two companies will partner to develop and produce entertainment across all formats and genres.

Propagate’s slate includes the likes of “Hillary,” “Jane the Virgin,” “Running Wild with Bear Grylls” and “Adam Ruins Everything,” while Constantin, one of the largest independent TV producers out of Europe and housed under Constantin Film, produces local versions of formats such as “The Voice” and “Masterchef” in several markets.

Bear Grylls, the face of survival and outdoor adventure television, and his longtime producing partner, Delbert Shoopman, have teamed with leading global production and distribution powerhouse Banijay Group to launch production company The Natural Studios, which will produce both non-scripted and scripted adventure content.

The company, with Grylls and Shoopman as co-CEOs, is funded by Banijay, which serves as its production and distribution partner. Grylls and Shoopman will maintain full strategic control, Banijay said. The outfit will “develop original IP with mass global appeal and nurture the next generation of adrenaline-fueled TV stars worldwide,” according to a statement.

MGM Television has hired three executives in its unscripted unit. Justin Dudek has joined as Svp Physical Production; Zena Van Ackeren as VP Talent & Casting, Unscripted Television Development; and Kitty Gambel as VP Unscripted Television Development.

Running Wild with Bear Grylls will move to Nat Geo for its forthcoming season. The show, which ran for four seasons on NBC, sees a group of celebrity adventurers transported across remote locations in the U.S. and around the world, including the jagged cliffs of Sardinia; a massive glacier in Iceland; the deep jungles and remote islands of Panama; and the deserts and canyons of Utah.

It is Grylls’ latest series for the factual broadcaster and comes ahead of the launch of his forthcoming natural history series Hostile Planet, which arrives in April.

Nat Geo has also previously aired reruns of the show, which was developed by the British former Sas serviceman and Delbert Shoopman, and is produced by Propagate-owned Electus and Bear Grylls Ventures.

Grylls serves as executive producer along with Chris Grant, Drew Buckley, Ben Silverman, Howard Owens, Rob Buchta and Shoopman. For National Geographic, Bengt Anderson is executive producer.

Nat Geo isn’t hibernating — er, sleeping — on Bear Grylls. In addition to having the wilderness-survival expert host and narrate its upcoming “Hostile Planet,” the cable channel is also taking over his now-former NBC show, “Running Wild With Bear Grylls.”

The Svod platform has commissioned Eco-Challenge 2019, to be hosted by Man Vs Wild and Running Wild star Bear Grylls and produced by MGM Television. NBC shows “Running Wild with Bear Grylls” and “Shades of Blue” both posted new ratings lows on Sunday night.

“Running Wild” led off the night with a 0.3 rating in adults 18-49 and 1.9 million viewers. That is down 50% in the demo and nearly 40% in total viewers from last week’s episode, marking a new low in both measures for the wilderness survival show. In fairness, the show moved from its usual Mondays at 8 p.m. timeslot to Sundays at 7 this week, making a ratings drop off somewhat inevitable. After a repeat of “America’s Got Talent,” “Shades of Blue” was even in the demo with a 0.5 rating but down over 15% in total viewers with 2.9 million, which is a new viewership low for the series.

On ABC, “Celebrity Family Feud” and “The $100,000 Pyramid” held mostly steady. “To Tell the Truth” dipped in total viewers.

ABC took the final Monday of the 2017-18 TV season on the finale strength of American Idol and Dancing with the Stars: Athletes.

NBC’s penultimate episode of The Voice gave both a run for their ratings money. It’s finale airs tonight.

NBC’s Monday two-hour The Voice took the 8-9 Pm timeslot in both metrics, when ABC aired an abbreviated one-hour Dancing with the Stars finale.

The Voice tied ABC’s Idol season so-long in the demo at 9 Pm. Voice hung on to its total-viewer lead

in that hour.

At 10 Pm, with Voice out of the picture, Idol pulled a lap ahead of NBC’s Running Wild with Bear Grylls and CBS’s Elementary

With Idol the night’s No. 1 show in the demo, and DWTS:a tops in total viewers, ABC won the night with a 1.5 demo rating and 8.66M viewers.

American Idol‘s Season 16 finale drew 8.7 million total viewers and a 1.6 demo rating, edging out The Voice to top Monday night in both measures.

(Because someone will wonder: Idol‘s final Fox finale did 13.3 mil and a 3.0, a little over two years ago.)

Opening ABC’s night, Dancing With the Stars: Athletes (8.7 mil/1.1) was up a tenth week-to-week but down 21 percent from its year-ago “regular” finale.

Over on NBC, the aforementioned The Voice (8.6 mil/1.5) was down a tenth week-to-week and off 11 and 25 percent from its year-ago finale Part 1. Running Wild (3.1 mil/0.7) dipped.

I've got a trailer here for you to watch for a great looking indie film called Ride. It co-stars Ludacris and it tells the true story of BMX rider John Buultjens from Glasgow, Scotland.

Buultjens, who is played by Shane Graham, was raised by a white supremacist family and he got into a lot of trouble growing up. He spent a lot of his youth locked away in a juvenile detention center. He eventually came under the care of a foster family, the father of which is African American. As they overcame the challenges of racism, they ended up forming a bond and in the process, John learned how to be one hell of a talented BMX athlete!

Next month, enjoy plenty of sports-related flicks with the addition of the Oscar-nominated “I, Tonya,” on May 31 and all the “Rocky” movies on May 1.

Other highlights include the Hulu original series “All Night,” out May 11, which chronicles teens trying to make their high school dreams come true during an all-night grad party, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s 2017 remake of “Baywatch,” available May 12.

NBC has announced the premiere dates for its summer reality TV offerings. So when will we see more of “America’s Got Talent,” “World of Dance,” “American Ninja Warrior” and “Running Wild with Bear Grylls”? And who will be this year’s talented breakout stars like Darci Lynne Farmer and Les Twins?

“America’s Got Talent” and “World of Dance” both return on Tuesday night, May 29. “Agt” will begin season 12 with a 2-hour premiere at 8pm. The talent competition brings together a wide variety of acts from dance to comedy, singing, acrobatics, performance art and more. Last year the show made a star out of child ventriloquist Farmer, who edged out 10-year-old singer Angelica Hale to win the season.

“World of Dance” is back for season two immediately after “Agt” at 10pm. The series is produced by Jennifer Lopez and judged by Lopez, Emmy winning choreographer Derek Hough and Grammy winning singer Ne-Yo.

NBC has set pre-summer premiere dates for four of its unscripted competition series. Season 12 of America’s Got Talent will kick off at 8 Pm Tuesday, May 29, followed at 10 Pm by the sophomore-season bow of World of Dance. Running Wild plays like if Michael Bay directed Flicka and as the old saying goes two wrongs do not make a right. Now, if you enjoy Michael Bay (Pain and Gain and The Rock are awesome) and you enjoy Flicka, well then this might just be the movie for you. If those movies aren’t your cup of tea, though, you might want to steer clear.

The bringing up of those two recognizable names (Flicka maybe less than Michael Bay) comes with a good purpose in that the film emulates the style of one and the familiar plot elements of the other. Running Wild is about a woman (Dorian Brown, who was excellent on Wilfred) trying to keep her ranch afloat after the death of her husband. She finds a number of wild horses and brings them in with a government program that helps inmates by...

“Running Wild” follows the story of Stella Davis (Dorian Brown Pham), a beautiful young woman whose husband dies in a car accident. After becoming a widow, Stella saves her ranch by working with a group of convicts. Watch an exclusive clip below.

The clip shows the moment Stella meets the group that will help her save her ranch. Their crimes range from tax evasion and online fraud to possession of firearms, vehicular homicide and grand larceny. While working with these convicts, Stella finds herself facing prejudice, greed and bureaucracy.

The cast includes Sharon Stone (“Basic Instinct”), Tommy Flanagan (“Gladiator”), Jason Lewis (“Sex in the City”), and Tom Williamson (“All Cheerleaders Die”). Flanagan plays the leader of the convicts, and Stone is the villain of the story.
