I watched this horribly made film while working from home. I tried to find more about it, read the bad reviews of a different film called Island of the Dolls that I agreed with, realised that it was the wrong film, came here to find its reviews way too high and decided to write this.
It's a solid premise for a horror film. Young Adults travel to strange island populated by dolls to follow up on an old tale about what happened to another group who went there, and start disappearing. It's an 1 hr and 10 mins long but nothing happens. There's no threat, there's no pay off, just jerky footage of a kid who hasn't seen enough sun and young people who don't behave in any way believably even for young people in a horror film.
It's not cheesey fun, there's not one good scare, just a sense of boredom. It was apparently filmed on the actual island and it seems they got overly excited about access and forgot to write a film! Avoid!
