Sometimes you just got to stop and check IMDb for a movie's rating and then go with the gut feeling you get from the movie's rating. And the 2016 horror movie titled "Laundry Man" from writer and director Johan Vandewoestijne is one such movie.
Yeah, I should have heeded the warning signs and just skipped on this movie. Horror movie might be stretching it in terms of slapping a genre label on it. This was nowhere near being anything even remotely scary.
The storyline told in "Laundry Man" is not only incredibly boring, but it is also unfathomably slow paced and pointless. Some qualities which made it a very difficult movie to sit through. And truth be told, I gave up about one-third through the ordeal known as "Laundry Man".
The acting in the movie was as to be expected from a movie of this caliber. However, I will say that the actors and actresses were actually performing well enough, but they were just hindered and held back by an atrocious lack of proper script, lack of interesting characters and a horribly slow paced progress all together.
"Laundry Man" came and went without leaving a lasting impression, much less even managing to leave a dent in the horror genre. The movie felt like a low budget home movie project, to be bluntly honest.
My rating of "Laundry Man" is a generous two out of ten stars.

Normally I don't base my movie watching off of how the score is but.. for this I should of! First off, I couldn't tell what accent the actors had nor the place of where it was being placed; literary the first 5 minutes I was confused.
Though I like the story of the movie, but the acting could of been ALOT better.

All I can say is, don't bother. Another reviewer suggested that the film industry in Belgium is flourishing, especially in the last 5-10 years. I am assuming that in Belgium, your taste in movies is sub-par. The story and acting could have more polish (and not with a capital P type). So yeah, nah to this one.
Be it money wise or at least time wise. That is if you decide to give this a go. Maybe you shouldn't - unless like me you are a glutton for punishment. Than be not just my guest but really go for it (no puns intended).
The laundry man - it starts off with the now and it supposedly is a riff on Dahmer and some priest or something like that. I think it is best to stick with the "originals". Although maybe not even those - do we need to watch any of it? Surely not and no I am not calling you Shirley.
Jokes/puns from other movies aside, this is as serious as heart attack - something I wish upon no one of course. Same is true about the movie ... ok enough puns, there are some saving graces I assume for some. Be it effects/blood or nudity ... your pick of the litter/gutter.
